Final Vote

Another screenshot submission period has ended, but that was only the beginning. Now it's time for the community to pick the two best screenshots out of the four that were submitted. It's a tad disappointing that only four screenshots were submitted, but that's good news for the competitors as they have a 75% chance of walking away with something (best.odds.evar)!



When voting, please include the name of the photographer, and at least one reason why you like his/her picture. Please vote for the two screenshots you think are the best, and not because they're your friend, idol, lover, etc. Please keep the non-voting chatter to a minimum as well.

I vote philthyphillup first because his didnt seem set-up and had nice effects.

Second would be prod because it also had nice effect but was set-up.

I think the best explosions are the ones that are done by accident.

Fusion by Prod - I like the whole white silhouette thing goin' on. Would of been a MUCH better shot if the little black 'beam' thingies shooting out to the right of the spartan went all the way around sort of like a 'tribal sun', but whatever.

And...

Swirly by Zak - Like the colors, and I like the fact it's from Campaign. (Well... I'm 99% sure it's from Campaign anyway... because that appears to be the master Chief, and the explosion appears to be from a Scarab.)

The fact that it's from Campaign tells me that while you may not of spent much time setting up an effect or anything like that, you DID look through a lot of film looking for just the right shot. So well done.

1st Vote: Fusion by Prod caught my eye the moment I logged on the XForgery. I really like the way the black smoke-like waves radiate out of the pretty yellow light.

2nd Vote: XGoose by philthyphillip for it's overall actionyness. It also reminded me of the last level of Halo - first I thought that's where it was shot.

Eh, Swirly by Zak: He's the only one who really...showed off the explosion.

Then Fusion by Prod: Prod actually made good use of an explosion while making some...sort of...weird, double effect....I dunno.
