Because of the recent closing of MonitorBuilt and XForgery's welcoming of their members into our site, we decided to give MonitorBuilt a chance to prove themselves, a last Hurrah! (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9546) We did this in the form of a site battle that took place over the course of last weekend. Thanks to the MonitorBuilt hosts: RPAL, iPirates, and Sir Shazmanoid, and the XForgery hosts: .Timothy and AceOfSpades, The weekend was filled with games of MonitorBuilt and XForgery squaring off against each other.

Lots of shenanigans went down during these games, and that's what we're here to tell you about! The hosts switched between the XF host and the MB host, each picking a game for everyone to play.
______________________________________

First, on Saturday, .Timothy and Sir Shazmanoid hosted a ton of games. Unfortunately, because of Timothy's summer classes, we don't have any picture recaps of these games. They were mostly shenanigan games with no real scores kept anyway.
______________________________________

Then, on Sunday, AceOfSpades, iPirates and RPAL hosted a bunch more games.
______________________________________

The first game was XForgery's choice; Team Snipers on Pyrokinetic (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714113571&player=AceOfSpades0707)

Somehow, even though the kills were 52-49, The final score was 50-42. MonitorBuilt must've been mad at each other or something.

The second game was MonitorBuilt's choice: Rocket Race on Old Faithful (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714123961&player=AceOfSpades0707)

iPirates and Isle 0f View won after a few minutes of them being stuck on 9 points. Pirates winning on his own map? Hmmm... sounds suspicious ;P

The third game was again XForgery's choice: Amazing Bomb on Amazing Claw (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714140679&player=AceOfSpades0707)

This game ended in a stalemate, with both teams being very evenly matched.

Nothing to see here... nothing at all.

The fourth game was MonitorBuilt's choice: Multi-Flag on Wishbone (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714167664&player=AceOfSpades0707)

RPAL showed up for this game and immediately put on something he would own on (which is pretty much anything with a sniper ;P ). However, XF managed to pull through a VERY long game and win 3 - 0.

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115279544_Full.jpg
This won't end well.

You've got to be pretty pathetic to get splattered by a mongoose. *laughs at Urban*

Urban got his reconciliation though :(

XF - 2 :: MB - 1

The fifth game was XForgery's choice: Battle Snipes on Silhouette (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714190737&player=AceOfSpades0707)

The game stats show that XForgery won, however, due to a glitch in the scoring system for RPAL and Coyote, MonitorBuilt was victorious in this game.

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115280428_Full.jpg
And they're off!

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115280513_Full.jpg
Some early carnage, that iPirates and Isle 0f View managed to get past somehow

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115280516_Full-1.jpg
A guy going backwards and an invisible driver. I don't even.

XF - 2 :: MB - 2

The sixth game was again MonitorBuilt's choice: L0RD Slayer on Monground (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714204880&player=AceOfSpades0707)

L0RD Slayer is kind of like Rocket Race, except it's Team Slayer (obviously) and you spawn with a Sniper Rifle and a Brute Shot. On Monground, there were also a few weapons placed around the map such as a Laser and Rocket LawnChair. Even with XF's incompetence with the game, we managed to emerge victorious.

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115280965_Full.jpg
Some carnage, and ANOTHER invisible driver :o

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115280964_Full.jpg
ONWARD!

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115281107_Full.jpg
So close... yet so far.

XF - 3 :: MB - 2

The penultimate game was XForgery's final choice: Neutral Flag on Multicog (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714222015&player=AceOfSpades0707)

Yes Neutral Flag is modded, but don't go asking me to put it on my fileshare for you ;P Regardless, this was a fun game, full of disappointing Warthog explosions and tight scores. The game ended 5-4, MonitorBuilt. They did have a 4-0 lead at one point though. That counts for something, right? RIGHT?

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115281374_Full-1.jpg

The final game was MonitorBuilt's choice: Conquest on the Great Wall (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=1714237217&player=AceOfSpades0707)

Boy was this game close, full of epic pushes (and push-backs) and a good amount of falling off the map. Every round ended 4-3, but XF managed to win the game, 11-10!

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115281709_Full.jpg
Why do I see six red players??

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115281713_Full.jpg
We had MB pushed back to their last territory...

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/AceOfSpades0707/XF%20vs%20MB/halo3_115281780_Full.jpg
...but somehow, they won the round. I don't even.

XF - 4 :: MB - 3

I know I had a great time, and I'm sure everyone else did too. Thanks to the members of MonitorBuilt for playing with us. Thanks to .Timothy, RPAL, iPirates, and Sir Shazmanoid for helping to host with me. Thanks to Zak for setting up this whole gamenight.

I'll take the blame on that, although I'm surprised no one else had pics. There were some pretty loltastic moments in my party.

Finally got to be the killer in the Clue games, and considering I've played Oblivion recently, I was able to take out everyone silently. :twisted:

Wow you guys actually got around to playing some somewhat serious games? XD I'm impressed.

And Colin you should of known before you put on L0RD SLAYER that not everyone on XF would fully understand the honor rules right away. :P

Look! It's and alligator!

I would change this to "an alligator (refer to sentence A)," unless you're referring to a specific alligator who goes by the name of And, in which case you would still need to change the sentence by capitalizing the "A" in both "and" and "alligator" (*refer to sentence B) and possibly insert the word "the" in between the words "And" and "Alligator," being careful not to capitalize the "T" in the word "the," as it would yet again be incorrect (refer to sentence C).

A) Look! It's an alligator

B) Look! It's And Alligator! (*only needed if And is his first name and Alligator is his last name)

C) Look! It's And the Alligator

Also be sure to reapply the red color to the text to keep it consistent with both the color of the font before and after to mentioned sentence.

Oh no! I made a typo! It's the end of the world!

I find it amusing that you went to as much trouble as you did to remind us yet again of your satirical personality.

Oh no! I made a typo! It's the end of the world!

According to my research, there has been no confirmed and/or unconfirmed theories directly stating that when you make a typo, it will result in the end of the world. And for that matter, there are no confirmed and/or unconfirmed theories that anyone making a typo will result in the end of the world. But there is a possibility that such a theory as this exists and is stored in the mind of a senile man who can no longer talk and because he has been rejected by society because of his disability, has not learned how to use the internet, thus resulting in his inability to describe to the world of the impeding doom of the world. And because there is a possibility that this possibility does exist, and even the possibility that that possibility does exist, I thought I would do my part and bring the typo to your attention. For all we know, I may have just saved the world. But I may have also sent the world into a spiraling doom because that typo was the only thing left stopping the world from ending, so don't thank me yet.

In the time you've spent addressing one typo, you've made seven yourself.

You're a big boy, so I'm sure you'll find these mistakes and correct them accordingly. I'll give you a couple hints:

Comma splices
Sentences starting with "and".

Good luck. :thumbup:

I'm well aware of the frequent uses of commas and the sentences that begin with "and," a word that has become a rather popular word in this thread. I use my commas rather recklessly, but all appropriately, and in a way to mimic the actual spoken language of English. Starting my sentences with "and" is also not a "typo," as it has no grammatical error. It's found even in the oldest of texts, and is more of a style issue than a grammatical one. But the topic of this thread is not about my grammar, as well as any other person's grammar, as the main typo has already been addressed and fixed. So let's get back on topic, shall we? And my I remind you that the topic is the results of XForgery and Monitor Built in their self-titled "Last Hurrah!"

I agree, let's get back to the topic at hand.

One final note, I would love to see you clash with an English professor. That has the making of lulz and epic win. Anyways, enough being a grammar nazi for today. ;)

It's actually quite annoying when someone has to act all smart when pointing out a typo. I'm sorry if I'm being rude, and insulting another member. Please infract me if need be. But people like you are the worst. Stop it.

Thank you, and good day.

The Battle Snipes game was my only game, but it was hella fun! I had a couple double kills on Ace and his partner shooting him off the ledges lol. Btw, I was the invisible guy on the mongoose :)

Overall, this was a nice experience, even if I only played one game.

It's all right. If he "ignores" me, then I can make fun of him behind his back, but it'll be right in front of him at the same time. He'll be deaf and blind. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
