Post Here some Forge FAQ's

I'll get it started

With an easy one how to make objects float on their own called the Float Glitch

Object Float Glitch

How To make an object float on its own.

1. Make a object on a map.

2. Spawn another one on top, now delete the bottom one.

Now how to make an object spawn easily with out stacking.

Spawn an object in the air, now while still holding it there save the map and end it without moving the object when you start the map again it will stay there where you spawned it unless it doesn't lock in place which is most objects.

I Will post a object lock-in place list the the maps they are available on.

Vehicle Float Glitch

How To make a vehicle float around the map.

Step One: Put 2 of the same vehicle in a line the one line front spawns every 180 seconds the one in back every 10.

Step Two: Destroy both and when one of them spawns move it up.

Step Three: After moving change that vehicles spawn to 180 and make the maximum as high as it can go.

Step Four: When the back one spawns someone enters the front and then some one forge pick up the one at the back.

Step Five: Have fun

Interlocking Glitch

How to make interlocked objects.

Step 1: Place an object you want involved with the interlocking
Step 2: Press "X" on the object and change the Spawn at Start to "No"
Step 3: Start a New Round
Step 4: Place an object so it would be colliding with the original object
Step 5: Either wait for the first object to spawn or force the spawn by quickly changing the Minimum Run-Time back and forth
Step 6: Press "X" on the original object and change Spawn at Start to "Yes" and check your work.

Okay?

Q: I can't seem to find the Starting Points. How do I access them?
A: You must pause the game as the Oracle, hit start, and scroll through the list to change the gametype. You must set Starting Point(s) for each gametype.
*Starting points are located in the respawn category.

Q: I've heard of this unlimited budget glitch. How do I do it?
A: Place one of every object. While placing each object, make sure to change the Maximum Run-Time to the highest number you can. Once out of money, save and quit. Start Forge again and continue the process until one of each object is placed. Once finished, you will have an "unlimited budget."

Q: How do you perform Interlocking?
A: Step 1: Place an object you want involved with the interlocking
Step 2: Press "X" on the object and change the Spawn at Start to "No"
Step 3: Start a New Round
Step 4: Place an object so it would be colliding with the original object
Step 5: Either wait for the first object to spawn or force the spawn by quickly changing the Minimum Run-Time back and forth
Step 6: Press "X" on the original object and change Spawn at Start to "Yes" and check your work

Method 2: For Advanced Forgers
By rapidly pressing "A" while holding an object, the object may merge with a colliding object or pass through it.

Q: I'm having problems with Respawn placement, any tips?
A:Posted by: SketchFactor
6. You can never have too many spawn points.
Multiplayer designer Tyson Green once told me, "Everywhere you think you want a respawn point... place two." The more the merrier. Also note that all of the default game variants likely have their own built-in spawn points. If you are only making a map for Slayer, that's cool, but be aware that if someone tries to play King, they may end up spawning outside your area of play if you didn't manually move or edit the spawn locations.

I started to make an official FAQ for forge techniques, found here (http://www.halo3forgery.org/forum/faq.php?faq=forge_faq).

I'm going to change the thread a bit towards adding to this FAQ, and going to try to get this more well known around the site.

How to Interlock Into Geometry

Floor:

Step One: Put any unmovable object into the ground that you want to merge into the floor.

Step Two: Put a Door facing down onto the top of the object
*Note put it evenly on each side so its straight

Step Three: Block all sides with unmovable objects

Step Four: Grab the object with doors then let go

Step Five: Take the doors/objects out and enjoy your merged item.

To Merge into walls

Step one: Same as Floors

Step Two: Put dumpsters on the opposite side you want merged and put doors on top and make the top end of doors go into the object

how to float objects on non-DLC maps:

1. Stack objects to just below desired height.
2. Place weapon holders on top of pile.
3. Place object to float on top of weapon holders.
4. Delete all objects in the pile except for the weapon holders and the newly floating object.

Death, weapon holders don't work as well as teleporters for the old maps.

Teles are better also How to make a Door

Spawn a Door then spawn a Tele so that it is half way interlocked, now when you should walk towards it will tele you to another teleporter now you can make a wall spawn on the floor to cover the exit tele so it looks like a real door :D

Different way to make a door
1. Find the place where you want a door
2. Use a bridge to make two floating custom power-ups above where the door would be (Recommended that they have no effects on the user)
3. Have two barricades floating on top of them, but make sure they drop when the custom power-ups are picked up.
4. Grab the power-ups and the barricades fall down creating a permanent door which can only be moved with high amounts of explosives and a massive amount of hits with gravity hammers and/or swords.

Pics coming soon for better examples

I thought it was meant to be hidden and not seen in that situation.

Fallenrat

they aren't meant to be seen what I meant was they look good when you walk into a door and you go through it instead of a dumpster door or a crate door
