Hmm... I don't think anyone noticed a missing word yesterday, but oh well! Onto today's question:
We all know of the stories about GameStop's used game policy where you're ripped off for your game if you're selling. Well, ignore that aspect and skip to the part where you thinking of buying a game. Do you buy used or new?
I dislike buying used games as I'd rather buy the game new. I know it's cheaper for a used game, but for the most part, it's not by much and it's always nice to know you're the first person to play that copy of the game. Of course, if I absolutely cannot find a game new (and know I never will be able to), then I'll opt for used.
New or Useded?

I just put I don't buy my games, because I don't play video games beyond halo and call of duty.

I prefer new. I used to buy used a lot more but now with all this stuff that EA and companies are doing I doubt I'll ever buy used. My brother buys used though.

The only time I buy new games is if it is for someone else, used games are not available yet, or sometimes if it is only a 3-5$ difference to get new. Obviously when we bought God of War 3 on opening day, we couldn't get it used.

Yeah that stuff is pure BS. They try to create this illusion that they are losing money but they really aren't. I'll buy used if it's available, but I won't buy used if it's within 6-12 months of it's release since the price is so close to new that the difference is negligible.
I rarely by games new. I only buy games new when I absolutely MUST have them right away. Games that are like that for me are pretty much just sports games. But I'll definitely be buying Halo Reach right away.

I get used games as opposed to renting because it's hard to tell how much time you will really play it. I just wait for a game to get older and then purchase it used and once I'm done with it sell it back to the same store.

Price. If the used it $5 cheaper, I'll get the new one, thank you very much.

Exactly what I do. I haven't bought a used game since when I used to play on the GBA. I take care of my discs, and I don't want to risk scratched discs unless it is a big difference in prices. I have only scratched one disc and that is when my xbox decided to eat it randomly.

I don't understand why people do this. I always buy used game and I've never bought a scratched or damaged disc. They all played perfectly normal, and they were no different than a new game. Even if you were to buy a damaged disc, you can bring it back and they'll replace it. $5 dollars isn't much, but it's still saving money.

It depends. I usually only buy older games used, or if I'm really desperate and don't have the money, I'll buy newer one's used.
