Happy Birthday XForgery! In order to celebrate two years of the site, we are calling on you, our dear members, to celebrate XForgery’s life so far through competition. Now I know what you all thinking of - “Another Halo competition? I hate those!” Think again! For this competition you decide what you want to do. Even though XF has always been known as a Halo community, we’ve decided to drift away from that a little bit and let you do whatever you want to celebrate XF’s two year birthday. Want to make a pretty picture? Feel free. Want to build a 8ft tall Lego structure of a flying zero? More power to you.
Excited? Maybe? Thinking about possibly doing something? Ok, I can work with that. Let’s get down to some details now.
.
What can I do?
Like I said before, do anything. There’s only a few guidelines
1. Keep it related to XForgery in some way, shape or form. This means site members, events, memories, etc.
2. Keep it safe. Please don’t be standing on 40 stacked chairs or whatever.
3. Keep it cheap. This isn’t a financial competition. Just because you can afford to get a squadron of F-15s to make a big flying zero in the air doesn’t mean it’s fair.
4. Thanks to RST - Keep it legal.
Prizes?
Being that this is a bit longer of a competition we are offering up:
1st Place:
250XF Points
1 month of Supporter status
An Award for your showcase
Bragging rights 2nd Place:
100XF Points
2 weeks of Supporter status
Bragging rights 3rd Place:
50XF Points
Bragging rights Submissions
Because of the variability of the competition, submissions are a little bit strange. Any way that you can find to show off your submission here (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?p=110122#post110122), feel free to do. This means pictures, links, youtube, whatever you need to do. Remember though, your fellow members will be voting on it, so the better you can present it, the more likely you are to win.
Submissions are due by July 7th and can be submitted here (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?p=110122#post110122).
No shared stuff unless you make special arrangements with me. We may be able to figure out a reward system for pairs, but for now, keep it personal.
You may submit up to two entries as well!
Good Luck. We're all excited to see what you can make!
