ok i posted a picture for a photoshop contest The contest is called celebrity sideshow:"The way the media makes celebrities' private lives out, they might as well be circus freaks on show for all the world to see."

Rules:You are to turn any celebrity into a sideshow freak (i.e., Eminem as Lobster boy, Tiger Woods with a real tiger face, a bearded Hillary Clinton or Tom Cruise as the world's smallest man).

And Heres what i submitted
Its Tom Hanks

half of the picture is just black. If you cut out the black to make it a smaller picture it would be good.

What do you win?

I believe he was trying to use the "Rule of Thirds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds)"

Well I don't think that really helps when the rest of the picture is just black.

I can definitely see Tom Hanks in there and it is really creepy.

As for the Rule of Thirds, It doesn't quite fall into the correct lining, but it is close.

All in all it looks nice. I don't think you need to add anything. Actually, Maybe a mist/smoke effect on the left side would ad a nice touch besides the plain darkness. You choice. I still think it is fine as is.
