Alright, which of these 3 would you prefer to watch? I LOVE all of them, but if I had to choose one, I don't know which I would choose.
I LOVE the cool shows they have on Discovery like Myth Busters and Dirty Jobs, and find shows on History such as "The Universe" to be fascinating. Nat Geo is also one that is just so awesome! I really love these 3 channels, but if I had to choose which is the best, or rather prefer, I don't know which one I would choose.
At this moment, I think they would be in this order...
History
Discovery
National Geographic
So yeah, let the debate begin!

It used to be Discovery, but now their channel is full of too much shit that isn't Science at all (Canada's Worst Driver), shit that pretends to be Science (Mythbusters), and shit that doesn't make sense at all (Deadliest Catch).
History isn't my cup of tea, mostly because of the spin they put on stories. They do play good movies there.
National Geographic wins. It's generally raw, and incredible footage, and they don't resort to petty stories to keep viewers, they let the footage do that itself.

I totally agree with OMNOMNOMINATOR, Mythbusters used to be scientific, now its a bunch of douche bags doing there own stunts and mucking scientific experiments.
Canadas Worst Driver and Canadas Worst Handy Man and CASH CAB are 3 of the worst television shows ever, Why cant they have Canada's BEST Driver? or Canadas BEST Handyman, Id watch that! So Discovery Channel sucks now.
however
DISCOVERY CHANNEL HD is 100 times better, not only does it look good, it has different programming than the basic Discovery Channel, and it still remains my first pic
History Channel is a close second, they host some raw shit on that channel like 'Ancients Behaving Badly' and 'Deadliest Warrior'
not to discredit National Geographic, but they are my 3rd choice, simply because alot of there programming is pretty lame, I could really give two shits about some rare muarsupials mating ritual, I wanna see ants devour an elephant!

For a long, long time now I've wanted to see them do a Canada's BEST driver at the same time as a Canada's WORST driver. Make the best do the course first, then the worst, and have the other groups decide on who is the best or worst.

I guess that's the difference. I find the marsupials in themselves amazing, and their mating rituals fascinating.

While seeing a rare marsupial mating process gross, I actually find it interesting at the same time lol. History tops my choice of the 3 because I find their shows far more fascinating and interesting. Things from the Universe to UFO Sightings, to even Gangland.

Ever since Tory, Kari, and Grant showed up it has steadily gone downhill. They are pretty obnoxious the way they over-exaggerate their excitement on every little test result. I still catch old episodes here and there cus they're still entertaining. They still cut out all the science stuff which is annoying, but the ratings would tank even more if people had to watch science geeks talk shop (I'd still watch it). Testing myths about civil war rockets or the Archimedes death ray is cool, testing myths about yawning and killer boxes of Kleenex...not so much.
Still, I'd rather watch Discovery over the other two. I've seen enough holocaust images and Hitler documentaries to never care to watch the History channel again in my lifetime. Not that it's the only thing they do there, but your good for 52 of them a year.
As for NG, watching a pack of Lions bring down a Gazelle for the billionth time just doesn't do anything for me anymore. It was cool to watch when I was 8 years old, but it just gets old after a while. Hell, even documentaries on supposedly isolated tribes of indigenous people aren't always accurate. I was reading, ironically enough, an issue of NG when I was in my early teens and it showed the tribe during filming, and again afterward. When the cameras were on they were in their traditional native clothes and effects. But when the cameras were not, they dressed just like us (T-shirts, ball caps, shorts, shoes). So whenever I see something about some band of people in the middle of a jungle somewhere, I take it with a grain of salt.

I don't have any of those channels, but when I used to watch them at friend's houses sometimes. Discovery used to be my favorite channel. But now, it seems like Deadliest Catch is on all the time. Whats the point of that show? I could never watch more than 20 minutes on that show. How is it so popular?

Discovery Channel is my favorite easily. I like to watch Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, and the specials they have. I don't watch TV usually though. Usually if I have nothing to do I'll pick to play Xbox over TV. I don't have any shows that I go "Oh it's 9 my show's on" I just sorta see whats on and if I care.

Discovery Channel, even though Mythbusters sucks balls, and Deadliest Catch, Swamp Loggers, and American Pickers are pretty bad too. I stay there for Dirty Jobs(<3 Mike Rowe, nohomo). I just don't find National Geographic as entertaining. History channel is okay. I also like Food Network, but that doesn't relate to science of any kind.

Have you ever watched "Good Eats"? That's culinary science! It's the best cooking show ever made. Alton Brown is freaking awesome.

Yeah, but no new shows ever come on. The only Good Eats that I can find are on at 10 at night, and they are all reruns. That show and Unwrapped is what got me into Food Network.

This is the order.
Discovery
History
Nat-Geo
I don't watch Nat-Geo that often. It always seems to have some sort of animal documentary or something. History channel keeps my attention, and so does Discovery, but Discovery comes out on top for me.
