So, you're working on a project in a group at school, but you notice that you're going to need to work on it outside of school. Well, you all exchange phone numbers until you realize that you have no clue what your phone number is. This leads me to the question for today: do you know your cellphone number by memory? I'm staying specifically to cellphones so that the answers can be more specific as well, but I did want to include landlines, but oh well. (the school part is just an example ;P)

Alright, I know my cellphone number up until the last two digits. It took about three years for me to memorize my first cellphone's number, and it's apparently taking longer this time around. Everyone always laughs a little when they ask for my number, but I find it odd why you would know your number so quickly. When was the last time you dialed yourself?

123-456-78... what were those last two numbers?

I am astounded that anyone doesn't know their own phone number.

Ehh, when your not calling it, whats the need of knowing it?

I have mine memorized, but I hardly ever use my Cell. Honestly its more of an annoyance then its useful.

Who the hell wouldn't know their own phone number?

Lol I don't feel pity for the guy who has a babe asking him for his number and he tells her he doesn't know.

One of my friends goes through phones like groceries, literally he breaks one on an average of every 2 weeks. He's always asking me for my number again, kind of a pain but I have my number memorized cold now.

Why would you not memorize your own phone number in the first place?

I understand how someone wouldn't know it perfectly. When you get a new phone, you're usually more concerned about everyone elses numbers rather than your own.

I lose my phone like every ten minutes in my own house so I use the house phone to call mine a lot. That's why mine is memorized

I have a harder time with my house phone then my cell phone. I have both memorized but sometimes have to think about what they are when I have to say them outloud.

I disagree. It's essential to know your own number immediately so that you can give it to other people, whereas you can simply program others' numbers into your new phone.
