I kno this has nothin to do with this site but i think it should be added on to get more traffic through the site like have contests as well for gimp or photoshop with tutorials an anything related anyways its just a suggestion

Meh. I've found a good site for PhotoShop tutorials, I don't know if you want a link to it? You might be able to adapt a few of them to GIMP.
