So, this question will encroach upon your belief in aliens (or whatever you want to call them). The word "alien" is actually pretty broad in its meaning so that's why I'm using it in the question: "do you think we'll ever meet aliens?"
I personally do not know what to think about this. I don't say there isn't a possibility of us meeting aliens (or rather, them meeting us), but I also don't quite see it happening. The universe is huge, and if nothing within our solar system is living like us, the travel would take forever. If we were to meet anything, they would be far more advanced than us.
So, what do you think?

If anyone possibly thinks they don't exist, I will shoot them in the foot.

They obviously exist, but meeting them, as Costly said, is a long-ass trip. I think they will meet us, and we'll be like, "omg shit, were waaay behind in space travel."

I have no doubts that life exist somewhere else, in some form, and the evidence (http://gizmodo.com/5494821/one-shrimp-opens-door-to-extraterrestrial-life-in-the-solar-system) keeps stacking up in favor of that theory. How "intelligent" that life will be is completely up in the air, but I don't doubt that there is life, and we will find it, sooner or later.

where's there "humankind has already met them" option? im sure somewhere in xf's population there's some one who believes some government agency is hiding them from the world or think they've met the ETs themselves
none the less i voted for "maybe, i'm not sure we will, but we may" option

The universe is a big place. And looking at the many species on Earth, of which only one was capable of self-discovered spoken language, I find it hard to believe that we'll ever find another humanoid-type species.

Yeah, it;s obvious some sort of species exists in the reaches of the universe, but it's impossible to say we'd meet them.
The only way they'd find us is if they knew we were here or just stumbled upon us.
Second option - impossible. 1 out of infinity.
First option - They'd have had to intercepted any of the signals we chuck into the universe like crazy everyday, then be smart or advanced enough to tell which direction it is coming from.
Then they need to already have a system or ship of some kind that could transport them to us.
If they have all that, the soonest they left for us would be about circa 1935.
It's been 75 years. That means, since we haven't met them yet, they're further away then
7.0953963 × 10^17 meters
doubting that they're actually at that distance exactly.
And then they'd need to be able to get to us without hitting all of the billions of things in their way.
We're never seeing aliens in this lifetime.
