So, you're at the movie theater, perhaps with another person and the tickets themselves cost about $11 USD. As you enter you go to the counter to buy some food and find that to buy the popcorn combo deal that you want and some candy (maybe a drink too), it's going to cost you another $20 USD. That's more than the tickets you had to buy. My question is how many of you sneak food into the movie theater? If you have done so at least once, you still have to answer with one of the "yes" options.
On one occasion did I sneak food into the movie theater and that was back about six or so years. I was going to the theater with a friend and his parents took us to a local store to buy some candy to eat at the movie theater. Of course, I thought it was bad to do this, but in the end it didn't stop me from eating all of my candy. Our savings? Probably about $10 USD with an amount of candy that would have cost us twice as much.
So, how many of you are sneaky?

Nope, but I did have to check just to make sure. I asked if you watch movies at the theater, and another if you buy popcorn.
The reason that food is so expensive is that thats the theaters only source of revenue. All ticket sales go to the movie producer. The theater only makes money on concessions

Yes, I'm quite sure most of us know that's the reason. However, that doesn't have much to do with the question and is why I never stated that in my first post. It's unnecessary information unless you're using it as your reason for being a good patron for your local theater.
I'm sorry if that comes off as rude, but I'm tired of people thinking I'm (or anyone else for that matter) being ignorant of the reasons why things are how they are. It's like telling a joke and leaving out an unneeded fact and everyone looks at you like you're an idiot until you explain that you already knew what they were going to say.

Oh thats right, in my response to the do you buy popcorn one I talked about how I sneak food in.

Which totally doesn't make sense to me because I am sure more people would buy concessions if they were cheaper. I know I would buy them at the theater if the prices were closer to the store prices.

I don't go to the theater enough to bother sneaking food/drink in. When we do go to the movies, it's a splurge so we don't mind buying ridiculously-priced popcorn and soda.

I usually only ever sneak alcohol in.
