YouTube- Halo Reach Beta Juggernaut = Carnage, Carnage, Carnage.
^ I got that clip earlier, it was my first ever game of Juggernaut in the Reach Beta and this is what happens. As you can see the Juggernaut can really do some damage, especially if they take the campy approach like I did here, and like most will... I think they need to find a way to balance it out, maybe allow Special Abilities for non-juggies and none for the Juggie himself of course. Maybe the juggie should have more sheilds but don't have them recharge, or less shields with the same amount of recharge. Regardless, they definitely need to do something in my opinion, this game lasted 3 minutes, and would of lasted just 2 if I had gotten just one more kill during my reign. I'm sure some other Juggernaut games have lasted shorter, even on a more open map like Powerhouse. I dunno, what do you guys think?

The way I see it, Juggernaut is overpowered as hell on Powerhouse, but not at all on Sword Base.
There are multiple weapons that can counter the juggernaut on Sword Base, in fact, you completely ignored two of them at the very beginning of that video. Plasma Launcher absolutely wrecks juggernaut, as does the plasma pistol. Snipers work pretty well too, but you've got to have good aim and a decent amount of time/space. There are also a bunch of other weapons that can counter the juggernaut, but plasma launcher, plasma pistol, and the sniper work the best.
All and all, I really think that it's the players who either make the juggernaut overpowered or underpowered. In your video, every single person just ran into you with grenades, assault rifles, and DMRs. Plus, they all kept going up the gold lift which wasn't very bright. Then, in addition to that, you stayed in an area where it was hard to hit you with grenades and where people would almost be forced to go head on against you close range which was a smart strategy, though easily countered.
If one of them had used a little common sense, you could have easily been taken out. A fully charged plasma launcher from the bridge could have probably been able to get you, or atleast seriously damage you with the first four shots. Also, if someone had run up with a fully charged plasma pistol and hit you with it, you'd be a goner. A little less likely, though still probable, if someone had run down that bridge just outside of the door with a needler and pushed you back with the supernovas, they probably would've been able to get you. Well, if you chased them that is.
I'll tell you right now, whenever my friends and I get Juggernaut on Sword Base, the juggernauts don't last long.

I guess you're right, I totally forgot about the Plasma Pistol. And Reach's Juggernaut does suceed in making you feel like a monster among mortals which Halo 3 failed to do. That's definitely how you should feel. Still I think some minor adjustments could be made, but I guess if Bungie isn't getting too many complaints, (Though they probably actually are...) it's not that much of an issue. Thanks for the insightful comment.

personnaly i believe that in general the juggernaut is a typical fun game. I think the gametype is fun just the map itself isnt the best for it..
