That's amazing, although the 'boss' at the end was kind of a joke... How exactly are people able to create things like this? Is there some sort of conditionally based switch system?

There are a very large number of switches actually.


Actual switches that you push/pull
Buttons
Proximity Switches
"Key & Lock" switches
What I mean here is that you can attach the "Key" to one object, and the "Lock" to another object. When the Key and Lock come within proximity to one another, the switch activates.
I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of as well.

interesting, this makes me want a ps3, but it's basically the only game that interests me other than Pixeljunk: Eden. And Bluray has basically no appeal to me due to streaming hd content through services like netflicks, and xbox live marketplace. or downloads on torrents.

Yeah, the Pixeljunk games are really fun.
I have the demo of Eden, but it lets you play forever.

My wife actually made me get a PS3 so we could play the next generation of Final Fantasy and God of War, and we just grabbed one while they still had PS2 support.

But LittleBigPlanet is definitely worth it, it's an amazing game, especially when you play with other people. I had two people over playing with me, we literally just laughed for 4 hours straight.

You create quite literally everything. There is some pre-built stuff that you can collect by playing the game, but it is pretty tailored to those specific levels so they aren't applicable in all situations.

Have you seen the LittleBigCalculator? Now that is what I call an immense amount of time to waste! Look above the calculator with the jetpack and you can see all the workings. It's HUCKING FUGE!!

Soon they're going to have real games on LBP and you can play any game from PS3 or Xbox. And PS3 is going to have to outlaw it because the LBP versions of the games are better.

This is the only thing that makes me want to get a PS3 and a few other things. Blu Ray to me is meaningless because a movie is a movie to me. Motorstorm is ppretty fun to crash cars with but now that that new thing is coming to 360 Kudo I believe LBP shall be beaten!
