At almost any given moment, there is a guest currently viewing the site.

Who here deliberately goes to certain threads to see if the Guests will follow? Or better yet, following the Guest around?

I for one do, and a good amount of the time, at least one Guest will follow and I find it humorous. Now who's the one stalking who? ;)

The guests are usually Google Search Bots, I can tell with my Super Admin Powers :p

That's what I was figuring, or somewhere around the traits of a bot. I can't imagine a person following me into every thread I visit.

I almost made a thread about this once. The guests always seem to follow people around, but they can not use the view who's online thing.

As Null said, the guests are usually Google Search Bots just programmed to scan the internet as quickly and easily. They can easily follow where the members go to see if they can gather new information, and do this by viewing your file seeing which thread you go to and follow. Scan it, and collect information. That is pretty much just my inference on how they work.
