Self-explanatory: What have you made in Far Cry 2 so far?

Personally, I've made a small, enclosed map that is entirely Jungle with Trees, bushes, grass, etc. There's also a few crates and a house in it, as well as a truck. And you forget the lakes. I'm also working on an Egyptian-themed map right now, featuring a giant Pyramid and the Nile River.

I've built a Marsh themed map, that is relatively small and is accompanied by a series of connected Tree "Forts".

My next map is going to be something quite a bit larger.

you guys should post some of this stuff, after seeing this video on youtube of a cat n mouse game I'm interested but still on the fence about this game.

The only bad thing is it's loaded with honor rules and probably doesn't keep score.

I saw that game as well, and was highly disappointed by the number of honor rules. But FC2 is hard to work with when the only thing you can tweak gameplay-wise is how many points you need to win. I guess all of the ingenuity is going to have to come from the map itself.

I'll try and post some stuff, but I don't have a capture card, only some shitty external video capture thing that really blows. So basically, my videos will be very low quality.

made a couple maps so far. Made basically a two sided small based map that in jungle.
Also made a storm the house map, which is my best. Large house surrounded by fence and cover and there are 3 territorys. Attackers start in the jungle with a good amount of vehicles to drive out of the jungle. I wish I had a capture card to post my stuff :(

Once I find a store with a copy for the PS3, I'll probably spend the majority of the (a) weekend remembering all of my fun times in TES Construction Set.

So, as of now, sadly nothing. :(

It isn't filled with the properties and lists of items, layers and materials that many level editors have.

It is just hard to navigate at first. The Radial Menu is a great concept, but prone to error at times, and finding what you need can be a pain when you could easily see the item being in one of three categories, but in the end, it is only in one of them. Plus, when navigating the item list, there really isn't a way to tell exactly where you are until you start to memorize the lists.

Numerous other things, such as tool naming and camera controls, that don't make things easy either; but again, you get used to it, and everything starts to go smoothly after a while.

Also, I've heard that you can only have 5 maps uploaded at a time, anybody know if this is true?

I am completely agreeing with Null. I spent a couple times just going into map editor and exploring all the different items lists and controls. But still true, you really cant do anything untill you start getting a feel and memorizing things.

I dont know about the only 5 maps, because I havent uploaded 5. But you might want to look into that.

Since Ganye ditched me last night...... I finished up my first map.

It's entitles "Marshall Law", which is a pun on "Martial Law" utilizing the keyword "Marsh". ;)

I'll be posting it as soon as I get in some testing and some screenshots/video.

I fixed quite a few things on it after we played.

Added some more cover in a couple places.
Moved around spawn points so teams aren't always spawning in one building.
Added ammo crates.
Raised the ground underneath some of the trees so you can't get inside of them.

I already published it, so you should be able to find it in a search, but I will be posting it as soon as Ganye gets his ass in gear and gets me some screenshots/video.

Well it's most certainly not a plus for you, :p but I was poking some fun at my usual laziness. If I was to get Far Cry 2 for the Xbox 360, you'd probably also request me to make videos/ pictures.

I understand that, but it's undeniable that I might have gotten a request or too in the near or far sight future. Still, for Ganye to insist, you'd think he'd be done by now.

Best Buy would be a good place to look, or if you have a local Fry's Electronic store.

I bought mine at Best Buy. Granted it was $102, but it has really good quality.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and by the looks of it, it looks good!

I have made a map called Death_Train. Some of you may have heard of it or have played it before but it's for PC and it is a really neat map.

It has gotten lots of great responses on the game play and layout of the map.

Here's a little description of Death Train:

The environment is of dense savanha and I made a custom mountain range that looks preety good. Theres a train going down the centure of the map that divides two towns. The houses in the towns are connected to each other by scafolds. There are ladders to get on top of the buildings and on the ground there are lots of concrete pipes aiming in different directions to offer different fields of fire. There are also lots of pipes leaning against walls and you can run up in them and you can stand up in most of them. The train is fully traversable. The two factions bases are just about indentical. Death Train supports Team Death Match and Capture the Diamond and supports 12-16 players.

BTW I am currently working on my new map called Hooverville. It isn't done yet but it is near a BETA version. I have already gotten a review of were it is right now and it looks good! So look out for a post for Hooverville BETA launch in the next week or so!

I have made a map that is sort of like an african town enclosed by mountains. I just randomnly named it to show my friend but if you want to DL it its call Cawton Mills by MNM1245. warning: I haz not tested it!

A while back when I still edited FC Multiplayer maps, I made a sort of Abyss/Canyon. There was a base at either side of the river. I havn't made a single thing apart from that.

I made a large, straight, ramp with trees on it. There were cars at the top and a village at the bottom. Sort of like an obstacle course, it was actually really fun. Then I made a valley, it was pretty cool but I never got the chance to actually play it with anyone. It started out being dusk, but soon turned to night. I loved playing the map alone though... Still wish I could've played it with some other people.
