Tom Clancy's EndWar is a real-time tactics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_tactics) game designed by Ubisoft Shanghai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubisoft_Shanghai) for the Nintendo DS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS), PlayStation 3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3), PlayStation Portable (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Portable), and Xbox 360 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360) platforms, to be released on November 4 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_4), 2008 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008) in North America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_America) and November 7 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_7), 2008 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008) in Europe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe).[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_EndWar#cite_note-Release_Summary-1) A Windows (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows) version is rumored for release at a later date. It is set in 2020 at which time World War III (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_III) is ongoing.
So anyways Tom Clancy's EndWar is based of the novel Tom Clancy's EndWar.
The demo was released on October 15th, three days ago, onto the Xbox Live Marketplace.
I check new arrivals almost everday, and got this two days ago, and played it yesterday.
And just let me say, O...M...G.
The game is excellent. Just the demo makes you want more. And even though it's a demo and one tiny portion of the game, you can go into Skirmish mode and fight the same battle about 20 times before you get tired of it. Or at least that's what I did.
The voice command system isn't perfect. Occasionally it'll have a few errors, but that's usually 1 in every 10 or so. Also, it's usually you're fault, not the game's, and usually you just end up moving your troops in the wrong direction or something minor. The worst I did was when I was eating popcorn, I accidentally called an Air Strike on the base I had to capture as I was capturing it, and almost lost the battle. But it was my fault.
So basically, if you like war games, RTS games, strategy games, or really any games (unless you're one of those exclusively sports people) you'll like this game, so go download the DEMO! Once you get submersed in it, it's amazing how easy it is to control, yet still you have to use tactics and try pretty hard.
And that is all.
