right...so... Anyways, i had this discussion with Shellshock a while back, but forgot to mention it here until just now for some reason.

Remember that update a while back where the site was down for a few days thanks to a server error and a site update? We could have used the old site at that point in time...if Thomas hadn't locked it up.

i suggest that, next time an update is to be had, in the screen that says "we're updating!" there should be a link to the Old Site (http://forging.ipbfree.com) to allow us to continue our conversations and such there. It may promote continued activity in the site (remember how we hit a slump for arond a week afterward?) during these updates.

On a side note, I like to sign in at school and play games. It's one of the few websites (with games) that isn't blocked. The Arcade is awesome :D

Still trying to beat Denominator's Tetris score D:<

EDIT: oh yeah, I forgot to add that everything would have to be unlocked in one of these time periods a well. Thomas removed all privileges except arcade >.>

This will probably not ever happen, sorry.

We don't want people to need to go to two places to find new posts.

copy n paste to new site when updates are done?

I realize it may be tedious but you can appoint people such as myself to do so.

Nope and nope. I'm not supporting you in breaking school rules and we do not want people to have to check multiple sites* to see what's going on; that's why I locked the old one.

Even though I can see where you come from when you said "People, like myself, can just copy-paste to the new site", I don't like the idea. We shouldn't have to have a long downtime like the previous one unless we're switching servers (hopefully won't happen for a while since I paid 2 years for this one).

This thread is under solved since we're never going to implement it.
