So, last night I signed up for Netflix, and so far I am very pleased.
I have like 80 movies in my queue, not including those on my list for watching on my computer. A lot of those are just standard movies that I never saw in the theater and still want to see though.
I would like some of your guy's opinions on good movies that I should watch. I know that a lot of you have more experience in the anime section then I am, so recommendations there would be good, because I want to find another good one that I like.
Other than that, suggest anything that's good; and please, seconds somebody else's opinion if you agree, I don't want to get a shitty movie just because one person thinks it is amazing.

If you're a fan of scary or even remotely like scary then let me say this:
GET 28 WEEKS LATER.
You should probably watch 28 days later first, which is also amazing, but 28 weeks is one of the best movies ever in my opinion.

28 Days Later is actually already on my list. I'll add 28 Weeks Later as well.

Here's a useful piece of information you might enjoy. Even though there is an update coming out that lets you stream netflicks to the 360, this is actually already possible. find out more (http://lifehacker.com/396881/turn-your-xbox-360-into-a-streaming-netflix-player)
As for movies, my personal tastes might be a little to abstract, but if you're looking for a good watch check out: (but some of these are foreign films, idk how you feel about that)
La Haine (aka Hate) (French)
Company of Men
Happiness
Pi (Director of Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain)
Man Bites Dog (French)
Festen (Denmark)
Old Boy (Korean)
Tale of Two Sisters (Korean)
Memento (from the director of the new batman movies)
As for anime my personal favorite movies are 'Paprika' and 'Spirited Away' but anything by Miyazaki is good. I normally don't get into anime series but I just started watching 'Death Note' but it actually pretty good. It has a lot of the psychological turmoil of wielding power while trying to do 'the right thing', as seen in the dark knight.

I can't believe no one has suggested Iron Man yet.
THAT MOVIE KICKS ASS! Watch immediately.

Are those actually on Netflix? I've watched them, but I didn't know Netflix supplied anime series.

I believe they do, my neighbor (and best friend) got Netflix and once had Spirited Away sent to him. The movie kinda bored me though, no offense to those who llike it.

Just added both Paprika and Spirited Away.
Not sure when I'm going to get them though since I'm approaching 150 movies, combined between Delivery and Download.

Did you recently get Netflix to stream movies on your Xbox once the Dashboard update is released? (I plan to since my father already has an account :))
Another recommendation would be:
- 1776 (Odd, educational, but still retains some comedy)
- Spaceballs (I'm sure you own it...)
- Scary Movie 1-4 (sometimes funny, sometimes stupid)

The 360 was a big selling point, and if they have the oft hinted at video sharing, we can have movie nights
You had me excited about 1776, I like odd and comedic, but then I found this in the description, "musical"; that's where you lost me.
I <3 Mel Brooks
Defiance

I demand on the first movie night we watch a Monty Python movie or a Mel Brooks movie!

Never watched Monty Python, so I'm gonna go with Defiance. Once the update comes along, you're renting Monty Python for us.

I can stream "The Meaning of Life" right to my 360 :D
Edit: I just found this piece of information (http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/14/netflix-on-xbox-360-and-falls-revamped-dashboard-guide-detail/):
"Netflix video sharing ONLY works with other Netflix / Xbox Live Gold subscribers. You can't share video with a Silver member, or who doesn't subscribe to Netflix."

I doubt it, there would be no way for them to know if they were actually using a netflicks dvd.
