Apparently Microsoft just doesn't like me.
I tried multiple times to download the BF: BC2 demo and it says that I can't download content with "this rating". In my Settings it clearly states that I can download and play M-and-under games and I can download content off the marketplace.
What a great paradox it is. Can someone please give me some help?

Does your gammertag say you are under 17? If it does that is probably why.

Is there any way to change my age without creating a new profile?

Under 18, actually.

I don't think they would let you. People don't magically get a new birthday.

Point taken....
Microsoft, as of March 2, 2010 AD, I will have my revenge!
Create a new account (with a Silver membership) and use the one month of free Gold membership to download the demo (which will now be saved to your hard drive). Now sign in on your CO x Paladin profile and enjoy the demo.

You don't even need a gold membership anymore, it's been out for more than a week.

Really? Microsoft fails at age restrictions...

Yes you can. Things like DLC and Videos you can. I do it all the time. But dude even if you have it saying you can play M Rated games you still can't DL M Rated demos/videos because if they're rated M for nudity that is like selling porn to a child which is illegal. So unless you're old enough to legally watch porn you can't DL M Rated demos and stuff. They really should sort through demos and videos and if they're is only violence/language still let anyone permitted to play M Rated games play it.
But ya dude just make a new account and DL the demo then switch back to your CO x Paladin account.

Does the other account need to have a certain membership "color"?
Apparently not, but making a new Silver account gives it a month of free Gold as a trial. Do this now, bish, and I'll see if I can get on and play with you today. Anyone else up for this?
that actually wont work.

Yes you can, because once you DL it on one account, it's saved to your HD, allowing all of your profiles to use it. This works for everything except things like Bungie Pro and the like.

Well, anything that is available for free on the Xbox LIVE marketplace can be accessed by any profile on the HDD/memory card that it is stored on. Anything that costs money is only accessible to the profile that bought it.
Really? I've heard differently- all the "underage" accounts in New Zealand and other places do this to DL Halo maps and such...

New Zealand may be different, but in the US, as long as you're paying, Microsoft will let any account download anything.

For game demos they are only available to Xbox LIVE Gold Members for the first week. After a week though anyone (Silver or Gold) can download them.
