I'm going to start out by stating that my question has nothing to do with any aspect of Oblivion that you may (or may not) know. It involves a mod I downloaded, and its quest that I can't figure out....

Basically, I downloaded Blood and Mud (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12016) which is a mod made for Oblivion PC. However, I'm currently stuck in a quest. This quest has no markers nor specific NPCs that I should look for. There also isn't a direct location or target specified. It also doesn't help that the mod has been translated from German (quite badly). The mod alters Bravil and adds three quests. So of course, these quests take place in Bravil, and apparently the surrounding areas around Bravil.

In the readme document, there is a hint for the part I'm stuck at.

--- I do not understand the book "The Forgotten Realm".

Any paragraph is a hint - the first more general what you should be aware of, the second directly quest-related. What is a "wyrm" somehow, AND "golden" AND saves you from "fire".
That is the absolute worst hint I've ever seen for a game so it surely didn't help. (Pictures of the book below)

To help with your hopefully helpful deductions; wyrm is an actual word (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wyrm) loosely meaning a dragon or a worm. This still makes no sense. However, I've deduced that the third part of the riddle may involve water (as Bravil has plenty), but the "golden" part still has me puzzled unless it's the indicator of the location, but there is nothing gold near the water nor is there a dragon (or worm) either.

To boot, I've broken into every house in Bravil and searched every box (dresser....), everyone has been pickpocketed but no avail, and I've spoken with everyone also.

So, if you can solve this riddle, you'll firstly have me baffled then I'll find a virtual cookie for you.

If it helps, I took some screenshots of the area, but I doubt that will make too much of a difference in help.

Seems obvious to me!

Worm = let's just say a body part
Golden(water) = Comes from the worm and can put out a fire.

That's what I thought, but I didn't find anything in the water besides an exit to a ship that I cannot use currently.

Also, the book specifically mentions dragon, so my belief in wyrm as worm is very little.

Based on your response, I don't think you have any idea what I was talking about.

You weren't referring to the river/canal that twists and turns like a worm containing water that puts out fire? That water could be considered valuable to the area as Bravil's main commerce takes place in shipping? Body = location on the water ~ body of water.

I may have taken your response incorrectly since I was reading American History at the same time, but isn't that the gist of what you meant? http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/confused/confused0036.gif

Then was it a sarcastic reply and you had no idea what you were posting?

Or was there reason behind it, and if so, could you explain it? Thanks. :)

You never know, that answer could be correct!

Anyway, I really did try to help. I was looking for a walkthrough but I couldn't find one.

Sorry about that, I pressed enter before I finished my post. I don't think there's a walkthrough for this mod, and I even used Google, but thanks for your help.

I hate riddles that have no reason, and quests that don't have directly related targets...

Well you know what they say - If at first you don't succeed, give up!
