I have been following this story since it was announced earlier this year and recently found this video. I just thought I would post it here for you guys.

This will change gaming.

Watch the video here (http://www.gamertagradio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12747)

What do you think?

If you live in the USA you can go here (http://www.onlive.com/index.html) to apply as a beta tester.

I'm about 20 minutes in, seems pretty cool so far. But Blue's right, this guy is probably sweating like hell.

I'm not impressed. Crysis is running on a low setting and still not reaching 30 FPS, from what I can tell. Not only that, but I see visual artifacts. Not interested.

Ya but Moe you have the computer to play Crysis from what I know because you are always talking about PC Games. But for those of us that don't have the money to dish out on an amazing computer this is amazing. Even if Crysis is on low settings my computer couldn't run it which is why I think this is awesome. Ya know what I mean. I'm having a hard time explaining what I'm thinking in my head.

And yes he is sweating like a beast up there :P

That's true, but I personally think it a wiser investment to get a decent/good computer for 500-600$ and get Steam, where games are $50 or new (or less than that) as you get a license for that game.

EDIT: Should I even mention the cost of this if it becomes popular? Internet providers would skyrocket their prices for high bandwidth. And even then, bandwidth caps?

It's a brilliant idea...for developers and pulishers. I have a huge issue with eliminating used games with this device. I can't afford a new game all the time. And with the current economy, forcing people to buy new would slow product saturation. Because if it was up to them, they would have you pay $65 2 years after a games release. Sure there will be price drops when titles get old, but you wont find AAA titles for under $20 on this platform unless they get to 3-4 years old. And who would want it then when the sequel is out? All I have to do is wait a few weeks after a game's release and there is usually a used copy on the shelf for at least $5 cheeper. Also, there wouldn't be any "special" editions of games. I actually like having the game in my hand and the extras and a tin box or some night vision goggles. I am also a big fan of LAN parties. This will eliminate those as well. I wont be able to get 10 - 12 friends together, order pizzas, drink, laugh, throw stuff at each other when we lose, and play for 12 straight hours. This will give too much control to the publishers. I HATE how he tries to justify how bad used games are. If someone has paid for it at full price, they have made their money on it already. If it were up to them they would scout garage sales to make sure they get their cut if Madden 2005 or something is sold there. I'm deffinately not going to support this crap.
