Welcome to XForgery's official "WoW," or "Weekend of Win!".

What is WoW?



So what exactly is WoW?

It is just a group of dedicated hosts, ranging from 3-4 people on the weekend, that host customs and the like for all the custom junkies out there. Sick and tired of matchmaking and want something else, then join one of these parties for a nice healthy dose of custom games that are fun and sure to satisfy everyone!

Who hosting WoW this week?


This week we have 1 hosts available: Zak (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/member.php?u=271)

We are allowing others to be dedicated hosts as well, the only specification is that you must be on the A Forgery A/A Forgery B friends list for casual players, or you can be on the newly formed A XF Comp A friends list for competitive players. So if you wish to be a dedicated host, just ask and you shall receive (plus you get a shiny award to boot).

We'll have certain priority in who hosts, such as people on the Review Team who may need to do testing, so don't feel bad if you don't get on the list, we still <3 you.

How do I join this epic event of win?!!111



The best part about this WoW is that you don't need to sign up! That's right, no need to sign up! That's because the hosts are dedicated. If you see them online, just join them.

However, you may be online when the hosts are offline; if so, just make your own game and invite others from the A Forgery A and A Forgery B friends list. If you want to start up MLG type games, then invite from the A XF Comp A friends list. Simple as that.


What will we play?

All the hosts will be playing different maps, and it will really vary by Host and Day/Time, but they'll try to play the Features Nominations and those from the Top 5 vote, some Community Favorites, and many others!

You are also allowed to request Party Leader in order to test your maps, because that's what WoW is all about! So, if you need a map/gametype tested, stop in and we'll help you out.

Why is it when I check this thread it always says no hosts. I have participated in one WoW which was one of the only weeks with a listed host. There are 22 to people that are listed as host and a lot of them are staff. Can we get this act together because I am a lot less likely to participate if we actually have a tiny bit of orginization.

Usually if people want to host WoW for that weekend in advance, they would either PM me or another event director before the thread is up. Problem is that hasn't been happening lately and I encourage people to actually do this rather than waiting for the thread, that way we don't get responses like this.

On another note, a WoW host doesn't have to be a staff member. If you really want to, you can host a WoW event.

I can host for some of tonight, probably till 1am GMT from whenever i get on, with some battle tracks and a few mini games, maybe some team slayer and some CTF, maybe even a sprinkle of conquest but i won't be on XF because i will be around a friends and his PC is :RIP:.


Ok, i just bought MW2 and won't be able to play this weeks WoW for unrelated reasons beyond my control.
