Since the forums have had a large increase in members, the review team has been piled with work. The review team is now excepting members for the time being.
To join the review team, you must ask to review a map. Make sure you PM Thomas, Null, Kenny, Costly, or myself to ask if the map hasn't already been reviewed. If the map you chose was not reviewed, please review in these six criteria: Creativity, Aethstetics, Gameplay, Spawns, Overall, and any last Comments.
Creativity: Well, creativity is mostly how the map is laid out. Is it something somebody can throw together, or does it look like it's taken the creator a lot of time? Does it have innovative ideas or is it different than other maps? This can easily decide all of the other areas.
Aethstetics: Aethstetics is how well a map looks. If a map is bumpy, it's recommended you take points off here. Also, if a map is horrible and ugly, yet it is beautiful gameplay wise, don't take away all the points.
Gameplay: How well does the map play out? Is it bad and you can't find a single weapon, or is it fun and exciting? All that and more goes in this area. Now, the more part is if you can get out of the map. If you can get outside of any map, please take a reasonable amount of points away.
Spawns: Spawns are what makes the world go 'round. Now, if your map has no respawn points on the map, don't take away all the points. First check to see if any of the gametype spawns work, if so, don't take all the points away. Also, if you get spawned killed, take away points from here.
Overall: This field is calculated as an average of the rest of the fields, when you're submitting a review this field is omitted and cannot be changed directly.
Comments: This is the final area of your review. You will now put all your thoughts of your review into here, but it must be under the 250 character limit. Have fun with that. :p
When you join the review team, you will be paired up with someone else, much like a buddy system. The two of you will bounce reviews off of each other until you end up with a very good review. Once that happens, you send it to a Moderator, like WoozyJOJO, an admin, like Thomas, or, the easiest one to send it to, is a Master Reviewer.
Now, all the areas are on a 10 point scale, so no 3/5 or 2.75847/3. Now, if you wish to be on the review team, you better go review a map right now! Feel free to start reviewing!
