Link to video or I call bull.
Regardless if this is true or not, tt wouldn't be surprising if they do release a L4D3 next year. If that ends up being the case, then Valve has sold out in my opinion. Instead of using valuable resources to milk this franchise, maybe they should focus more on....I don't know making a Half Life 3 or better yet make something original?
Seriously have we run out of ideas in this day and age?

You give us no information on it other than they're thinking of a making L4D 3 and possibly an editor. We cannot give you our opinions about buy/rent/pass unless we're as informed as you are. Link the interview.

Considering all of the remakes of old movies and now old games, I'm pretty sure that companies are running out of ideas... Though I don't see how it is really that hard to do so. Also, it is kind of a bad sign when you hear about a sequel (or 3rd) to a game this soon after the release...

If it IS true and there DOES happen to be an editor, I'm gonna buy it, or get it some how.

I didn't play the first one, and I've only played the demo of the second. It seems like a fun type of game, but I really don't have any grounds to say that I would/wouldn't get it for a certain reason. I too would like to see the interview though.

I don't think it's so much that they're running out of ideas, but are too concerned on the financial side. They either choose to start an unknown endeavor, or go with something that they know has already sold well. In current economic times, it might be too much of a risk to take.

I searched Google and Youtube and there is no such video for L4D3 interview. Please post a link or have some more proof.

If they are making L4D3 this soon, and announcing it just after the 2nd game, then there will be a lot of pissed off fans of the franchise who just bought the 2nd one lol

Yeah, pretty much. That's why there are all these movies, shows, games, books, etc. that are all based off of old/done-before themes and principals. What I personally define as original is doing what people have done before, but in new ways.

I call shenanigans Mr. Black Magic.
But if there was an editor for the Xbox 360 I would most definitely buy it. Although I'm probably buying the 2nd one soon enough. I doubt they'll make a third one in a year. I think that they made this new one just to make a better game from all the things they learned from L4D1 and L4D2 will last much longer and get more DLC than the first.

Nobody didn't expect a L4D2 in a year either until it's announcement. What's stopping them from making a third one next year? Nothing. I can easily see this franchise becoming a cash cow for Valve.

I'm gonna pass because there's no proof of said game, and I know nothing about it.
There, that's a troll for you.
Thanks for feeding me.

Why does it matter. There is no doubt in my mind that they will make another one because it is sucessful. Every popular franchise has been making sequels to milk your dollars. Continue discussion please.
When they first revealed L4D2 they said they were just going to update it like they do with Team Fortress 2. That's the reason some fans were angry. They were mad that they bought the first game, but there would be no updates and that they would have to buy the second game to continue playing.
Take your bullshit elsewhere.

Who says they need it. It doesn't mean that they don't want it.

I truly believe Valve would not even have to make any more games and they would still roll in the dough..

I don't. I think that Valve was improving it a lot and now they are gunna rake in cash with a lot of DLC instead of making a new game. I just don't think they're going to do that again and get more boycotters outside their studio then give more tours of it. I doubt it.
