No prob, man. I've had it ready for a while, just never posted it.

That actually is smart. But can't you just ghost merge it?

I don't think they can go far enough.

Really? I haven't really tried because I think that sandbox is terrible to forge on.

Nice guide. Now I understand how Teardrop merging works! I never got it before. Thanks!

You could just ghost merge them, but I did come up with this before the Ghost Merge technique was refined.

Actually, Ghost merging might not be as good, because you can't submerge more than half of an object with a ghost merge, so this should be better.

I guess that's right.. But I have submerged more than half of an object before, are you sure that you can only go to half?

Well, based on what I've ghost merged... I could be wrong.

But this is usually faster than a ghost merge.

I ghost merge pretty fast.. But I have merged over half of a double box open on Longshore..

wow this is really helpful. one question though, does the tin cup merge into the ground where you save and quitted it or where it was originally when you placed it

People always say that you can only ghost merge half of an object, but that is illogical thinking. Actually, you can only ghost merge as far as the center of an object. And by center of an object, I mean where the forge-moniter picks up the object.

For example, on a tin cup, a moniter will pick up the object towards the middle of the pole. This means that while holding a tin-cup upside down and trying to ghost merge it, only half of the pole will go through the ground, and while holding a tin-cup straight up, all of the grass will be submerged and half of the pole will be sticking out.

Nuff' said.
