As you know there are a good amount of users on our site that use Skype and I think we should make a chat room for members to chat with others easily. It would be easier than the IRC seeing as you don't have to have an extra tab to post on the site and you could quickly bring up the window for the chat room.

Also, I suggest this because some of you who look in the IRC occasionally know that it is most of the time deserted and not a lot of people actually chat in there. With Skype I would think it to be easier to chat with members because when they get online they can immediately get a notice saying if people are currently in the chat chatting.

I love Skype, but having it consume a lot of the site would be odd.

You can download IRC clients so you don't have to switch between tabs when you're on the site, we just don't have a tutorial for other IRC clients, yet.

(I was in a call on Skype when I typed this. ;))

I put mine up a few days ago and its currently stickied in GC
