I beg of you not to take over this site, this site is still about forging, Forgehub has turned into a bunch of idiots that spam to 1000 then just cruise in off-topic; so don't flood this place.

Forgehub will never take over this site. Despite their massive base of members, the admins and mods here are still the admins and mods. It's not as if the FH members will automatically get mod status just from crossing over.

Excessive Spam isn't taken lightly here, nor is flaming. you're safe from "idiots that post to 1k and cruise" at H3F.

Besides, the particular people who I would guess to do that think that FH is the only real forge site, and every other site sucks. So like i said, no worries.

i was thinkiing there trying to, cause if you look at nemihere and pegasi deltes profile, and look at member messages, it looks like their up to somthing...
but we have our own mods, and if the old FH mods act like they do on FH, theylle either get -20 rep, or get banned

and it wont turn like FH cause you still get punished if your a veteran, so not only new people are punished

To Dark, the mods at FH are fine and they do punish senior members, just some of the senior members are complete idiots within the rules.

the fact still remains that all of the aforementioned idiots blindly follow FH, and believe that any other forge groups suck, and so wouldn't join. the smart, mature ones can see through this and will freely join whatever they want.

I was inactive because I had no internet, I will be inactive again in a few weeks anyways(for 6 weeks, going to Italy), but yes, FH has turned into off-topic hub, I still go there regularly, I just don't enjoy it as much.

Forge is going to need some revitalizing in the coming months when all of the new games overwhelm the old.

Wii, although I see where you're coming from, I was already discussing this with Null. I was worried that this would just become a second FH, and I wanted to know what they thought about it. Luckily, they thought it was great to keep expanding there userbase. I do wonder if the maps section is just going to get filled up with FH member's maps, but that's something that's stoppable.

Believe me, I just joined for the fun of it. Everyone else just joined for the fun of it. Don't start accusing us of planning things.

Also, senior members in FH are also punished, but only when they do things requiring punishment. So it was never the case on FH.

Haven't seen you post a map in a good while. That doesn't in itself make you one of the idiot spammers. but it doesn't make you not one either. You may be like me in the fact that you look at other maps more than you make them wich is fine but I haven't seen you in the maps section all that much.

But yea my reasons for coming here are much the same. Foreghub has gone to the dogs. They no longer seem to care about maps. Snakage is the only staff that posts anything about forging on the front page, unless it's one of thier own maps. And everyone else on thier seem to only be there to make threads about pictures they made in GIMP, Photoshop, insert other geek image manipulation program here. Don't get me wrong there are some great people on that site, but I'm there for maps and map making not pictures.

Stuff like that is only quickening the inevitable death of H3 forging, when we should all be trying to delay it as long as possible.

I beg to differ.

FH is actually all about the community, don't get me wrong, there are those who are immature, and don't know how to restrict themselves from saying some things that are completely outrageous, but when it comes down to it, the vast majority, are great people.

I don't think I've ever seen someone discriminate solely because of the fact that someone can't forge as good...That's...an intriguing thing to have heard.

I do have to agree with many of you about Forgehubs flaws though. I noticed this recently how a bunch of inactive premium members and mods came back briefly to ensure that the maps and map creators they wanted would be in the 2v2 tourney. There is also a bunch of mini groups over there, like Ghosts of Onyx, that cause a lot of people there to blindly support others, argue a lot, and similar things that really take away from it.

Lol from day one I've always called Goo a bunch of elitists. More or less joking.
And yea the 2v2 has taken over the site, did not notice the premiums and old staff thing though. But I have seen some maps that would have been a lot better than the ones used.

I'm not disagreeing, especially for the people on late night/early morning. Having only 100 members that are spread across 4 timezones is a lot different then having 20,000 spread across the world. It's kind of hard to compete with.

Yeah... As one of the people who stay up to about 5 in the morning and wake up in the afternoon I know how dead it is, but I still post because I like the community here.

H3F and FH just both use a default skin for vBulletin, there is no copying around, I'm glad we won't get to many of the people who think that coming here.

The senior members do get punished, I have seen a couple get warned. I just wish they wouldn't complain about it. I see regular posters get warned and they never say a word about it.

Just know that part of the reason that the senior members do not get warned/punished is, because we know the rules and what happens when you break them better.
