A few ideas...

I have a few ideas I'd like to see integrated into this site (for convenience):

1. A quick reply box at the bottom of a threads page (while still viewing the comments)

2. The topic shows up again when switching to a second (or third,etc) page. this is sort of annoying, because if you're posting on the second page, you should know the topic. this isn't so bad for shorter topics, but its kind of annoying for the longer ones.

3. Profile customizations.

4. Maybe more special ranks for different things (although i'm sure these will be delved into as the site grows a little more

That's what multiple tabs are for.;)

Just for the record, you only see the first post of the topics in the submission forums so if you read a post later on in the thread, you can still see the map/screenshot/video that everyone was talking about. I'll look into getting a feature that will let you collapse the first post if it's humongous and you don't want to scroll past it every page.

yeah i figured that'd be best... and that'd be awesome if you did.

We might even be able to do that by default in every page past the first. So the first post is available, but you have to uncollapse it. I'll definitely need to look into this, because I see the positives & negatives of both having it and not.

I was actually already considering the Quick Reply box. I'm always just weary of putting on everything that FH has, I want to avoid the "copycat" title as much as possible. And I don't think that it will do anything to bandwidth.

The profile customization is interesting, but it is also distracting, in my opinion. It is something to keep in mind for the future, but at this time I don't think it is the right step forward.

well a lot of my suggestions were things from ForgeHub that i think would work out well here. its not exactly "copycat", because I've seen it in other forums. its just a convenient shortcut.

well i wouldn't suggest it until the site grows further. then you can add different special ranks because there would be more kinds of people to award ranks too.

It has Quick Reply on by default, I disabled it a long time ago for some reason or another... I'm enabling it now.


If you would like to make some kind of graphics update (ranks, banners, etc...) then we'll really look into using it, we're up-and-coming so we need as much diversity and creativity from our community as possible.

Well actually I made a banner Thomas, and it came out pretty well. It may need some tweaks to be perfect, or at least as perfect as possible, but the base design is great. I could send you the link through Skype if you'd like to see it.

The banner for Default was supposed to be a filler for a little bit and eventually updated, but I never received a final version from our GFX team. But again, if you'd like to submit anything of that sort, we'd be happy to take a look.
