I am actually making this thread for two reasons, so I don't have to make 2 threads.

1st. Did the forum just change or am I just seeing/forgetting things (it is 1am so that probably what it is). I noticed that on the left side of a thread, where it says how many posts you have, is different. It also says threads: and Last Activity: there too. Now I am posting this and I noticed it said Tags, and I never saw that eather.

2nd. This is the original reason I was making this thread. Well basically I am horrible at making names for my maps, so I need your help. All I could come up with is Barrage. Do you think that is stupid, and if you do help me think of a good one.

That's an update (read the August Update (2 of 2) for more updates).

And also I think that names are specific to maps. I really haven't seen your map, so I can't accurately tell you whether or not its a good name for your map. as a map its a good name though.

To add to what he said, the "tags" part has always been there.

I'm not too bad at map names, show it too me some time, and I would be happy to help.

What i do is come up with simple words that I would use to describe my map. Plug them into a thesaurus and see what comes up.

Before I did find an interesting site that if you input 2 words it would find the best word that describes them both. I used this for one of my maps that was a combination of "isolation" and "guardian". What the site came up with was "recluse" combining both words' definitions. I wish I could remember the site though.

I do roughly the same thing. For my map Auger (http://www.halo3forgery.org/forum/showthread.php?t=479), I started with the idea that I was "improving" Cold Storage. So, I plugged "improve" into a thesaurus. Came up with a few different words, "enhance", "amplify" and "augment", for instance.

From there I decided to use Augment. After a while trying to decide between using "Augment", "Augmented" or "Augmentation", I decided to go another direction and ended up with "Auger".
