So, I'm working on a new mini-game. Basically, it's a large, rectangular arena: On each end is a territory covering 1/2 the arena: Each team starts in a territory, and that's then their base. In the middle is a small "neutral" zone. Everyone spawns with swords, and can only deal damage on their respective side. The objective of the game is to trick the other team into either going for your territory, killing them all, or assassinating them all on their side. Once you do that, you capture their territory. When you die, you spawn inside of a jail on the other team's side. The only way out is for someone to come and grab a custom power which releases you. However, that's where my problem comes into play: How do I prevent someone from being able to capture a territory while in jail, and how do I make it so that they have to go back to their base, rather then standing in the middle of the opposing side?

To keep them from capturing a territory while in jail, just put the jail where the territories don't reach. You could use a teleporter. When they get the custom powerup make it unblock the reciever node.

My idea: Team A spawns on one side. The jail that Team A spawns in is on Side A. On Side B is a Man Cannon with a Dumpster infront of it: The dumpster is ontop of the reciever. You grab the custom powerup, dumpster goes flying, teleporter's opened and you go flying back to Side A.
Keep posting ideas, because I might take some into consideration when it comes time to test/change things.

Is the mancannon pointed to side A? Then when you to through the teleporter on side B the mancannon shoots you to side A?

The Jail that Team A goes to is on Side A above Territory A: The Reciever is on Side B, with the Man Cannon facing Side A, so you get launched to Side A.

I'm sorta confused about how this game is going to work, but to keep the people in jail from capturing the territory just raise the jail or lower the height of the territory.

Like I said, I got a system, I just don't like it: It looks sloppy. So if anyone could come up with a better system, it'd help greatly.

Well if you are having problems with the people in jail capturing the territory, why can't you move the jail?

It works just fine... I got a system working after I posted this thread, but it looks sloppy and I was wondering if anyone else had any good ideas that I could use that would look better.

Ok I would be glad to help, but you never described what looks sloppy about it. I can't help fix the problem unless I know what the problem is. Is it the jail? the base? You need to go into more detail or add a picture of what you want help with.

I'll be testing the map on Wednesday: You can help then and see what I mean.
