i just joined, so please tell me if im wrong, but i have noticed that there was no place to have introductions, Debates, talk about gimp/photoshop images (such as sig shops) and such, i used to go to forgehub, and im tired of how many noobs are there (there are really some great people, but too many noobs are there for me) but to me, it feels kind of empty here

Images go in the Images (http://halo3forgery.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=17) forum. There, you can post all your creations, screenshots, sigs, etc.
No place for introductions, but that's a good idea. I'm sure an admin would create/sticky a thread for that if you asked. (maybe)
And, debates, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Everything that's not video games can go in the Chat/Spam forum.
Also, welcome. Get to know everyone and you'll like it here :)

This site is still fairly new, but more specific forums was an idea brought up for future updates.

well, on the site i used to go (forgehub) there was a debates forum in general chat, (category) where people would mainly debate on stuff like should kids play halo, is it right to hate video games on religous porposes ETC.
i know there a chat area, but i just kinda wanted a more specific forum
oh and is the rep working, cuase i still havnt been giving -rep from some noob like on forgehub (on my first post fyi) and i like that we have good mods and stuff

As Woozy said, there is a forum for Images.
Introductions got lost in our transition to our new site, because at the time we were a much smaller band of people who all knew each other. So, now it might be a good idea to reintroduce that.
I don't see a reason to have a forum specific for debates, that's a ForgeHub thing and I find it pointless. If you want to discuss something, do it in Chat/Spam, no need to have a separate place.
The empty feeling you have from here comes from the fact that you are used to ForgeHub, which has over 20,000 members. We just recently reached 100, which personally explains everything.

Yes, Rep is working, but we haven't configured it very much to fit our site's size, so nobody except for Admins at the moment can actually affect your rep. I'll be looking into how to change this some time soon.

Why wouldn't it be working..? It takes a total of two negative rep to be red and a total of two positive rep to be green. So if you have two negative reps and one positive rep, you'll still be gray (Or atleast that's my understanding of how it works here).

Anyone can give rep: Not just Admins.

Anyone can give rep: Not just Admins.
Anyone can give Rep, but how much you actually affect a person's Rep is determined by your Rep Power.
Rep Power is determined by a bunch of different things ranging from time at the site to number of posts. At this time nobody meets any of the criteria, so any Rep you give won't affect their actual Rep until you get some Rep Power.
I have to rework the Rep Power rules to allow you to actually affect Rep.

As of right now, how many posts do you need to actually affect someone's rep?

Lol, I don't think you two are getting that it's a joke ;)
On Forgehub, there's a 90% chance that some random people will give you -rep for no reason when you're new.
Oh and, I kind of like the debate idea. Maybe you could start a debate thread and just keep it updated.

It's something like this:
You get one point of Rep Power for every....
365 Days since you've registered.
1000 Posts
100 Rep Points

Do posts in chat/spam count towards this, or is it a 1000 post count?

That's... Insane. Not even Forgehub should have a standard that high.

Link to ForgeHubs standards (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/announcements/14814-reputation-update.html), which include:
+1 for Every 1000 Posts
+1 for Every 50 Rep Points
+1 for Every Year at ForgeHub
+1 for having at least 1 Rep Point
So, there really aren't too many differences.

You can, it just doesn't do anything except get them closer to getting a rep point. Until you get a rep point, your rep really doesn't do a lot.

hmm, so would that mean we would need 2 admins to +rep us to give rep?
it probly should be somthing like, if you have 10 non-infracted (or if if no mod has taken action on it) posts then you can give 1 rep point, if you have 50, you give 2, 200, you give 3 rep points, 500, you give 4, and 1000 you gie 5. anymore would probly be two much
NOTE: all postcounts must be non-infracted
of course ts just a recomendation

I've changed some of the things that happen for you all to get rep, I'll post them here and make a new sticky/rule/thingy after I talk with Null about it a little bit. ;)
