Ever wonder what those settings under "Weapons and Vehicles do". For one they change the base player starting weapons, but there are also these neat things called "Weapon Sets". These change every weapon in the game to a another weapon. Their are lots of options in this catagory and can be useful for some people. Now some of these sets are obvious like "Assualt Rifle". That changes everything to an AR, but some of them like "Duels" can be confusing as you can't tell what changes into what. Well here is a list of all the weapon sets.

Weapon Set: Assault Rifles
All Weapons Are Changed To Assualt Rifles

Weapon Set: Duels
AR- SMG
BR- Magnum
Shotgun- SMG
Sniper- Magnum
Needler- SMG
Brute Shot- SMG
Rockets- Magnum
Laser- Plasma Pistol
Sword- SMG
Grav. Hammer- SMG
Carbine- Magnum
Beam Rifle- Magnum
Flamethrower- Plasma Pistol'

Weapon Set: Gravity Hammers
All Weapons Changed To Gravity Hammers

Weapon Set: Spartan Lasers
All Weapons Changed To Spartan Lasers

Weapon Set: Rocket Launchers
All Weapons Changed To Rocket Launchers

Wepon Set: Shotguns
All Weapons Changed To Shotguns

Weapon Set Sniper Rifles
All Weapons Changed To Sniper Rifles

Weapon Set: Energy Swords
All Weapons Changed To Energy Swords

Weapon Set: Random
All Weapon Changed To A Random Weapon

Weapon Set: No Snipers
Sniper- BR
Laser- BR
Beam Riflle- BR

Weapon Set: No Power Weapons
Shotun- BR
Sniper- SMG
Rockets- BR
Laser- BR
Sword- AR
Graav. Hammer- AR
Beam Rifle- BR
Flamethrower- AR

Weapon Set: No Weapons
All Weapons Are Removed

*Turrets Are Never Changed/Removed

**Only Weapons That Change Are Shown

***I think that when you change it to Shotgun/Lasers/any single weapon that only the number of weapons allowed on that map are changed. Ex: Only 8 weapons will become a laser, and the rest are removed when playing on Foundry. {This Is Only A Theory. Correct Me If Im Wrong}

I never even thought about this before. Very interesting information.

I'm now waiting for somebody to find a way to utilize this.

Dibs on utilization.. just another thing to add to my gametypes that I need to make... like one that emphasizes betrayal booting, one that emphasizes respawn growth and now one for weapon sets...

The only thing I can see this leading to at some point is if you needed more BRs or something on a map, placed down weapons that would turn into BRs, then changed the gametype to replace those weapons with BRs.

Could be interesting to see how many of one type of weapon you could churn out like this.

I wish their were more weapon options, like Human or Covenant...Hell even like a "Brute" option would be sweet. But none the less, thanks man!

I really wish they kept the "Classic" and "New Classic" options for weapons sets....I miss Halo: Combat Evolved.

In Halo: Reach I want to see the ability to be able to pick weapon substitutions... so you can make your own custom sets, not to save just to be able to fully customize a gametype...

@Azn - There is no dibs on a setting for a gametype dontcha know. ;)

This is cool. I knew about it, but the only thing I would use it for was "No Weapons". Nice guide/theory. Very informative.
