Take out the archers first so you can fairly take on the actual guards and the target. I haven't played it in a while, but that is how I did it I believe.

yeah i was going to try that but there is like 8 guys and i think 2 are templars and the rest are heavy guards.

Ahhh I remember this game, it was a lot of fun to just run around and massacre anyone that had a problem with me. :D
My brother beat the game, I couldn't handle it being so repetitive.

Same for me. It is especially repetitive when you get good enough with your sword skills to go through 50 guys and not get hit once. I've been working on beating this one lately as well, but I've been taking it slow and randomly.

It was pretty good, lots of relaxing, but lots of driving. But it gave me two 4 day work weeks, which I can never complain about :D

I hated that fight.
The Templars and ground soldiers were not even a threat, but those archers massacred me. It took me twelve different plans, around fifty redos, and patience to finish that fight. You'll have to make a mad dash for the archers at all costs, and at the very least, prevent them from shooting you. How you get to them is what will determine the outcome, so get to them as fast as possible. You won't win that fight with them constantly breaking your guard with arrows.

Is this game worth buying? From what you guys have been saying my guess is no. When Assassins Creed came out I was debating on getting it or another game. I chose the other game. I think it was GRAW 2, but I'm not sure.

Assassin's Creed is a blast to play...once. The controls will probably feel a little sluggish at first, and many buttons function in multiple ways too. Fighting is fairly basic and can be in direct correlation with your button mashing skills. Until you get past the mid part of the game, pressing X as fast as you can will usually win any battle for you besides boss battles. Later on, opponents will actually start to counter your attacks, but it's just a minor inconvenience.
There isn't any replay value to be found, you can't swim, and the AI can be too easily fooled. You can assassinate an entire town's worth of guards, in broad daylight doing so even in front of other guards, and get away with it by simply holding A.
There are some parts in the game where the AI is glitchy, and other parts where you'll have to repeat, again and again. Did I mention again? The game itself can be beaten within 10 hours of straight gameplay, and there isn't anything to collect besides flags which are pointless besides for achievement points. However, the game has fantastic graphics and a somewhat open roam feel.
I'm too tired to type any...mor..e.

Wow that sounds fun! lol
I don't think I will spend $50 (actually its probably cheaper now). Maybe I'll rent it.

I'm not sure which part you guys are talking about, I don't remember having any problems with that. I can go replay it again and see what I do, but I'm not sure what part you mean.
P.S. If you wanna spice it up a little, try beating the whole game with just your hidden blade. Yes, that includes the fights. Usually if you have the hidden blade selected, when you get into the fights it will pull out your sword, so just switch back to the blade again. To fight with it, you have to use only dodge/counters or kill them when they are doing taunts.
Overall it was a repetitive game, but the storyline itself made it worth the work for me.
