I love forging. Its awesome. But for me, its kinda hard because, I have some good Ideas but they never come out right.

Some of the contributing factors is weapon placement, equipment placement, spawn placement, and tons of different shtuff like that.

I also have tried different techniques like the floating and interlocking glitches but I'm nothing compared to some of the levels out there.

Anybody have any advice? I love to forge but need a little help getting off the ground.

P.S. I have some Really cool ideas in the works and need some help with them. If anyone wants to help out just say so.

Just keep trying: It takes a lot of practice to get as good as some of those people. I'm fairly good at Forge, if I do say so myself, yet I'm nowhere near as good as some other people.

Well, I can't Forge at all when online. You can ask about half the people here about that. However, as a tip, always use a reference object when interlocking. Not only will the finished product turn out greatly, but you can build maps even faster.

An example would be to place a box that you intend to interlock. Now place another box about halfway along that first box at the angle you wish to interlock at. The result will be two boxes side by side with the second sticking out further than the first. Notice where the edge of the first box meets with the second box. Now start a new round...(perform the next step of interlocking with the respawn time) and place the third object against the box and move its edge to the spot where the original box met. The result is a near seamless edge.

It is also Important to take your time. If you rush it will be sloppy.

I'd be glad to help you out, I just need to take one or two people off of my friends list before I can add you... I'm full. :(

Some tips that I can advise to you, though, is to make templates when you're interlocking if you want to make it symmetrical. Our Master Reviewer Kenny doesn't use simple templates when he forges and it turns out to work nicely but it vastly time consuming and makes it harder on himself.

when forging, never settle, always go for perfection. It will be time consuming, but it will be well worth it in the end.
