[cnc] prefix?

I think it's about time the GFX section got a [cnc] prefix.

I can understand why it didn't have one, not many sig makers or graphics guys used to hang out on here.

But now we have quite a few, and I think it's a good idea. But I suppose it's really up to you, the community, so what do you guys think?

I was thinking about this a few days ago. I think adding that prefix would just replace the [image] prefix. Almost all images threads would use this allong with some from the other categories.

Well not really, sometimes you're just posting an image for reasons other than to get criticism for it.

Personally I say yes to this. We should have a [cnc] prefix.

I agree but it shouldn't replace the [Image] prefix. I think you could maybe make a [Media] Prefix and a [CnC] Prefix. Maybe but I like the setup now and don't mind the fact that people just add [CnC].

I'm still missing the difference between how people will use Image and CnC.

I don't think I've ever seen an Image thread where people said it was final and they weren't taking any advice, and if they have it is few and far between.

That was kinda my point. I have no problem changing the Image prefix to CnC if that makes people feel better, but people we're saying they would use both, they just have yet to give a valid example.

It's a no then, if they really want to make it clear they want CnC, they could put it inside of the title.

Somebody puts image if they're showing off a bunch of images they have done, or they're saying something like "Hey, use these backgrounds if you want".

CnC is a more direct, and always means "criticize my art for me". And it's almost always a signature, while the Image prefix doesn't have to be.

But, if you want to call this one solved then go ahead I suppose.

There is a difference between expressly asking for criticism, and accepting a bit of criticism here and there. But since the Graphics Community on Xforgery is still pretty small and only starting to bud, I suppose it's not that big of a deal.
