What's your favorite internet browser? I personally use Firefox. Oh and by the way, anyone that says Google Chrome I swear....

I also use Firefox.

The auto-spell checker alone makes it worth running, but it's more secure, faster, and has a pile of little perks that after a while you don't notice until you are forced to use something else.

Plus, the plugins are a sweet bonus. I run an auto-refresher to prevent logging out on most sites (this one included), an instant notifier for my RISK-type games on Conquer Club (www.conquerclub.com) and Greasemonkey scripts at various places throughout the web.

Firefox kicks ass.

Oh firefox all the way explorer caused my old computer to grind to a halting stop. Fire fox also has a constant spell check and firefox makes downloading high res screen shots from bungie a single click. Oh but google chrome is next best [/Biggest Joke Ever]

I use Internet Explorer cause I honestly don't care that much. And that video is the best. I love it. I like the Internet Explorer going "Weeeeeeee"

WHAT?!? You should care! I have no idea why IE is set as a default internet browser, seeing as it's the slowest, least user friendly, has the biggest file size when downloaded, and has the most spammed up address bar I have ever seen.

Because Microsoft owns IE. And yes I use Chrome...

Hey no problem it was just a video I thought suited the thread really well and pretty much explains why I like firefox so much.

I used Internet Explorer, but since I have upgraded to a Grammar Pirate on XF and try to be a "Word Smith" on Forgehub I downloaded FireFox.

Just for the spell check.

Oh I just remembered that I like firefox because it doesn't open new windows every time you click on a link like explorer.

Internet Explorer has got to be the biggest joke I've ever seen. Have you seen the Header for the Browser?

I only use Firefox when I need to do something that requires open source. That's rare. While I admire Firefox's customizing ability, the thing that matters to me is speed, ease of use, and versatility. Chrome gets all these as high as they go. Chrome is the fastest, maybe equal to Safari, its really easy to use with a bunch of features, the tabs have a lot of cool uses, for example turning a tab into a window or turning a window into a tab, and switching locations of tabs. Its also got incognito mode, which is cool. and the most visited home page is really convenient. Its got recently closed tabs, and everything I need. Its design is clean and slim, and looks great. My internet is fast enough to use any browser at a very high speed, and there is still a noticeable difference betweem IE/FF and Chrome. Safari is just a minor difference.

I've only used three browsers during the time of me using a computer.

My personal favorite of the three I use is definitely FireFox. I love the customization and that nifty spell checker. I however, dislike the fact I can't use it for some site features. (Not here) That's where Internet Explorer comes in. It might be a tad bit slower (on my computer) than FireFox, but just about every site supports it with their features. Finally, Safari comes in third. I used it maybe twice just to try it out, but other than that, I don't use it. At all.

The only reason Chrome is faster than Safari is because they use the same engine. Just on different operating systems. The FireFox Beta 4.0 makes the two browsers neck and neck when it comes to speed. And by the way, Chrome is pretty new in case you didn't know. It's not that it's the "cleanest", it's just that Google hasn't gotten around to updating it, so call it what you want. I use to word "laziness" though. Firefox is ultimately better in almost every way, sorry.

I use Chrome, because IE hates me and crashes a lot. Firefox for some reason doesn't let me listen to audio, and I rarely use Safari. I do, however, like Opera. But I have been and will continue to use Chrome.

There is no such thing as the Firefox 4 beta. I know Chrome is new. And yes, it is the cleanest in terms of aesthetics and design. Its not laziness because its intentional. Chrome is meant to be simple and easy to use. I would use Firefox except for the fact that it crashes more than ten times every half hour. I've sent at least 500 complaints to Mozilla to fix it when I did use firefox. Chrome is ultimately better. Sure skins and themes and add ons are cool and all but they serve no purpose unless you're an open source guy. I hardly doubt the casual internet user cares about open source, most people barely even know how to do anything code wise. Chrome offers everything the casual internet user needs and does it perfectly.

Yes, there is such thing as the new beta. And I understand where you're coming from, I never said Chrome was bad. If it was, I wouldn't have it on my desktop right next to FF. All I'm trying to say it that FireFox has 1: Better Features, 2:Is nearly as fast as Chrome, and 3: Has it's own firewall. Chrome isn't bad at all, it's just a little too simple for my taste.

1) That I don't use

2) Not as fast

3) Get a firewall on your computer, not browser. You still get viruses at nearly the same rate, just not the obvious ones. The scanning only helps the idiots who think they won't get a virus from a website called www.givemeavirus.com which advertises free paypal money if you put your card here.

no such thing as Firefox 4 beta:

You know you can get an addon where it'll turn a specific tab into IE for you... you don't even have to open up IE for those pesky sites.

Firefox is my favorite. That's it.

I use firefox. Its way more secure out of all the web browsers. Plus the spell check and the plugins like downloadhelp and such are a real life savior.

I use firefox the most, I like using google chrome to watch videos and stuff, just because I like the overall look of it. I use internet explorer very rarely, sometimes my parents keep it open on the family laptop, so I just use it while its open.

Looks like I'm changing to Firefox. I'll try it out and see what I think.

I just got it and how do I find my Favourites?
nvm
