Your Halo 3 MM Playlist Ideas

Well, I saw a thread like this on Bungie, and I thought, "Why not post it here?". So, I decided to.

Anyway, using the 4 Playlist Holders, you can add, or get rid of any playlist you think should be there or not be there. You can even feel free to add more playlist holders. Here's mine:

Ranked:
Lone Wolves
Team Slayer (4v4)
Team Doubles
Team Objective (3v3)

Social:
Rumble Pit
Social Slayer (4v4)
Social Skirmish (4v4)
Multi-Team (3v3v3)
BTB
Rocket Race (2v2v2v2, Brute Shots Secondary)
Fiesta (Both Team and FFA, 8 or 4v4)

DLC:
DLC Slayer (5v5)
DLC Objective (6v6)
DLC Randoms (5v5, both of the other DLC playlists, in one.)

12 playlists is more than enough, Bungie is just spreading the population way too thin with their 15+ playlists.

you realize that with the addition of skirmish you have 17 playlists? good god shell. Also, DLC seriously screws BTB over as it takes away from the population. Just make BTB leg DLC required and have done with it, damn.

Rocket race = custom gametype. Rocket race =/= worthy of its own Matchmaking playlist.

Here's my ideal playlist.
I feel that CTF should have it's own playlist, since it is played almost as much as slayer.

Ranked:
--Slayer
----(4v4, Heroic DLC + Cold Storage Required)
--Objective
----(6v6, All DLC required)
--Lone Wolves
----(FFA, Heroic + Cold Storage Required)
--BTB
----(8v8, All DLC required)
--Capture the Flag
----(6v6, All DLC required)

Unranked:
--Team Snipers
----(5v5, all DLC required)
--Team Fiesta
----(5v5, all DLC required, COMMUNITY CHOSEN (as in not one lame website) maps, updated bi-monthly, random weapon spawns)

Everything else left alone

I'll add both Team and FFA Fiesta in one Playlist, I don't know about the CTF one though.

While I was browsing the Optimatch forum I stumbled upon a topic called, "Countdown to August 29". I had decided to read the thread, after seeing the Seventh Column Symbol. I read through the topic, and Shishka had said Team Snipers will be a Double EXP in September, and Sketch has confirmed that "September will include community related content being added to matchmaking (although it will REALLY be done when Shishka is ready).". So what does this mean? Forgery can really get seen with this implemented into MatchMaking!

i know this may be bad to the new players or "noobs" of halo 3.. but if they posted a playlist where if you reached lvl 30+ it would open up another playlist..

this would maybe draw more insentive to matchmaking? i know alot of people dont care for there rank. and it would be a fun goal to work towards other then just a number.

Anyways, the problem with that is that a lot of mini-games tend to drag on, and Bungie would have to take ideas from the community, which opens up a new problem: Most mini-games just feel like a recycled mini-game. I mean, I make a lot of Mini-games, but probably only two of my Mini-games were "original." Avoidance was original in a sense, but it was also a lot like The Vent. Sheep Defense, well, it's just been done before, but maybe not as well-done. Boom Tunnel, though... That's just hours of fun.;)

"1337" speak is fine, as long as it isn't used heavily and doesn't interfere with another rule, like avoiding a filter. Although we're all playing a game that's rated for adults, the internet can be accessed by anyone of any age group, so we need to filter out things we see inappropriate and will update the list as we see fit.

But, this is your final warning towards that rule, breaking this again would get you a little vacation... but we don't need to worry about that, right? ;)

Anyways, an Infection playlist would be fun, but the Living Dead one that they have now is just fail... Especially considering people always suicide/betray to get negative points so they're not the zombie.

then there would be no need for a swearing filter. I realize that swearing looks unprofessional but the star things kinda remind me of the failed Runescape... maybe you can change it to -blam!- or something, it looks better.

I would like to see some sort of ranked BT Multi Team (4v4v4v4) for slayer and objective. They had it non ranked as 3v3v3v3 in halo 2.

yeah from what i remember that was fairly fun. but 4v4v4v4 will get laggy and hectic. maybe a 4v4v4? it will be like a twist on team slayer.
