Kenny and I have been waiting anxiously for Cold Storage and now that it's here we've gone out and created a canvas and such.
Cold Storage will be considered to be a Legendary Map, so post your forge creations in the Legendary DLC is required.
Now, before you all ask about the forging aspect, you don't have much room and you'd have to geo-lock a ton to get a decent structure. The map looks insane but haven't played it yet.

I thought that the texture looked too much like it was from Halo: Combat Evolved and not Halo 3, to be honest.

Are you crazy Ganyeh!? Look on the Q&A on Bungie.net and look at the old Cold Storage and new one you'll crap your pants of the difference it looks nothing alike.

I completely agree. There is almost no correlation.

Let me know if theyve added any cool forge objects cuz my friend may or may not come over with his 360 today. It looks like i may have to kill a hobo and steal his 360 cuz everyone knows that all hobos carry around 360's hidden in their shirts.

Didn't add anything new, and you're very limited to what you can place in forge.

I just didn't like the texture of the flooring and whatnot. It didn't look next-gen as compared to the other maps.

The textures are annoying in my opinion. Especially in the two main rooms. The textures are actually almost distracting. The only place that I think looks genuinely cool is that room with the yellow-ish windows.

Well I downloaded the map and the theme and pics via my friends Xbox and i tried out the map. Cold Storage is ok in my oppinion but it is annoying how they didnt really include anything to forge with. They couldve at least made like a forrunner themed crate or door or something. But the first thing i did was get inside the tube with the flood by using a turret. i did like how they actually stuck with allot of the same geometry and the map felt allot like the origional. I do agree about the whole exturing thing though, I kind of expected more than just bland forruner walls (kind of reminds me of the origional cuz it was just a bunch of walls nd floors that had no variation waht so ever). But yea then my breif visit to Xbox live cam to an end when something crazy happened to my router and i couldnt get it to work until my friend left after a few hours of playing GTA. The government foiled my plans again...

All I have to say, is that after playing on it, and forging on it, I can see why they released it for free.

 No, you didn't. Cold Storage is awesome if you know how to play the map, and forging on it makes you have to be more creative to work around the very limited parameters they've provided.
I'm not saying that I'm not joyed that they gave the map for free, but I'm not saying it's not worth anything. It's my favorite matchmaking map, seems to work extremely well for a decent amount of gametypes shipped, and it's really awesome when you know how to actually play the map.
I've had some really, really epic games on this map that I haven't achieved on any other, yet.

I have t oagree with Thomas on this one even though forging is not so great gameplay is epic win if you play 2v2 or 3v3 anymore the mpa will not be good since theres only 3 starting points for each team as it was supposed to be. Only gametype it doesnt work with is SWAT
