Welcome to our first edition of the H3F Bi-Monthly update. A lot of you have been waiting, somewhat patiently, for this update to be published and now that we've finished our tasks here it is.
New Rules and FAQs
With some other updates detailed below, I've added another category in the huge list of rules that go for the whole board regarding the submissions. Along with these, should be common sense, rules I've updated the FAQs section (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_ranks) to include user ranks and how many posts it takes to get to these ranks.
Review Team
Instead of dragging this out any longer to keep you all in suspense for who's made it into the review team, I might as well give you all the information that you want up front.
After an easy entrance test to gain entrance into our review team these following members have access to the forum and have been granted the title of Review Staff:
Kenny
Denominator
Null Parameter
Thomas
Defiance
Costly Axis
Oblivions TNT
Shellshock
Not only does this give some members a new user title, but it's going to allow us to have forge competitions, official reviews, and featured maps.
Sometime today, the first Forge Challenge (of the new site) will be released. Good luck and have fun with this one. ;) Winners of the challenges will now get a little medal under or near their current rank, showing that they've won one of these events.
Shoutbox has returned?
Well, not really but it's close enough.
Some of you were upset that the new site didn't include a shoutbox, after the last site's was booming with random spam, important questions, and URLs to cool videos and images. Instead of bringing a shoutbox, per say, to take up our precious bandwidth I've gone out and updated the site to include and IRC client. You can get to this embedded client via the front page and the navigation bar (Default skin only for now).
You can also find a link to this IRC chat here (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/misc.php?do=ircchat). Tutorials are going to come soon for those of you that don't like the Java Client embedded onto the site.
Map Submissions
As I knew before, the forms that you use to submit your maps wasn't complete and still isn't 100% complete but I've added a nice new feature that will make it easier to link your maps to their Bungie.net thread (or fileshare, but I prefer it's in a thread).

If you would like to make a suggestion towards the forms or anything else in the forums then please create a thread about it here in the Suggestions/Tech Support Forums (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=5).
Other Updates
A couple of random little things have also been updated. On the front page, you can now see the ratings of the new and featured maps and users cannot rate their own maps, so there will not be a really biased vote from the creator.
Another update on the front page of the site, I've finished typing up the About Us/History of Halo3Forgery, found here (http://www.xforgery.com/index.php?pageid=about_us).
The Videos section has been broken up into two categories now, Halo Videos and Other Videos. The other videos section will not count towards your post count, while the Halo videos will.
Podcasting
We're really looking into this one, as you may have seen, we've been thinking of ways and working some things out to preform podcasts that will follow the bi-monthly updates, forge competitions, and other random nonsense. We cannot guarantee this will happen for a while, but it's definitely on our to-do list.
Your Contributions
We need you, the members and staff of Halo3Forgery, to go out there and advertise. We haven't gained any new members (but 2 or 3) since we've moved to the new site, which is a really bad thing considering a few of you said on the old site that you were waiting for the new site then would advertise all over the place.
We need more members, we need more maps, I need you all to go out there and spread the word about Halo3Forgery.
While still on contributions, we'd all like to have some really nice features and faster access to the boards but I cannot do this unless you help me monetarily. I need you all to donate, you will gain more features when you donate but that is a later discussion. Right now, I need to have the money to go out and purchase some upgrades for you all, including a better server.
So, if you can, please click the button below and donate at least something so I can provide you all with upgrades and a better server.
