If you haven't seen it yet, Forge Hub is hosting a 2v2 tournament. The tournament is played on community created maps that were submitted and chosen in a forging contest (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/announcements/124147-2v2-throwdown-forging-winners.html) a few months back. The tournament is setup to host 128 teams, and there are still some open spots available!

If you think you have the skills and you're interested in signing up for this massive tourney, just click the banner or this here link (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/announcements/127938-2v2-throwdown-sign-ups.html) to sign up.

Here's a brief rundown on what you need to remember before signing up:

Players must sign up in teams of 2. If you wish to participate but cannot find a partner, you may use the Free Agent thread (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/2v2-throwdown/127482-free-agent-recruitment.html) to network with others in the same position and try to put a team together.
If you have any questions, you may ask them in the FAQ thread (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/2v2-throwdown/127481-2v2-throwdown-faq.html).
Sign-ups are NOT speculative. We expect teams who sign up to take this seriously, and you should not sign up if you aren't sure that both you and your partner will be available to play at least once a week for up to 20 weeks.
By signing up for the 2v2 Throwdown you agree to the Rules (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/2v2-throwdown/127480-2v2-throwdown-rules.html) set out by the staff

Hurry up though.....

Sign-ups close on Sunday, July 24th!

I'd need a partner. At least a get-away driver, the most talented demolitions expert, a genius computer hacker, or the worlds most flexible man.
Really though these big events like this just sounds like a hassle. :/

The only hassle is managing to turn up and play the games :P

You can actually win some really cool prizes like a pair of Astro A40s for both you and your partner as well as other stuff.

Also, thanks for posting this Null :)

They're a pair of high end headphones very popular amongst the more competitive gamers.

I would use the Free Agent thread except, I'd rather be with someone I know quite well. Any takers?
Just PM/VM me.

If you were to check over at Forge Hub, we have a Free Agent thread if you would like to be in the tournament but can't find a partner.

I skimmed it, and obviously read the wrong parts. I thought it said "I'm looking for a partner".

Don't mind me, I'll shut up now.

/me backs away and cries in the corner

There's a free agents thread RPAL. Pop your name in there, and if no one bites (hopefully not literally) we'll just put you with another guy in there...

Did this already start and i missed it or something? I don't frequent FH, so I don't really know where I should be looking.

The first map has been shown; but brackets aren't public yet.

Find your team groups here (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/throwdown-customer-service/announcement-tournament-groups-find-your-teams-group-here.html)

And a bracket can be found here (http://www.forgehub.com/forum/images/announcements/2v2-throwdown/Brackets.png)

Good luck to all teams!

Dear HomerSPC

I've heard the name "Shanon" passed around a lot. Mostly bad things. But I was just in the Bracket threads, and he's posted so much spam. How could one person get away with all of that without a single fuck being given? I would greatly appreciate to hear back on this matter as soon as possible.

Best Wishes,
tipsta

The problem is there's so many bracket threads that we can't monitor them all. I don't believe the bracket forums add to your post count, but yes. I'll see what I can do for the spam.

And please, next time just message me this on here, FH, or skype. Thanks.

I noticed it as well. He's not above any other members (even the staff), so action will be taken in the future. In this particular instant (withe the bear picture) it was a joke that went too far.
