XForgery March Update, Week 2
Here's the second Update this month, coming to you a little bit earlier than last time.
This update won't be as big as last time, but it definitely has some useful information.

New Forum Structure (Finally less cluttered.....)
For those of you who usually peruse the Map Forums, you'll notice a big reorganization.
We are no longer going to separate maps by Map Pack, because that leads to way too many duplicate forums. So, instead of searching 3 or 4 different forums for Infection maps, you now only have to go to one!
Here's the new forum structure:
Standard Gametypes
Conventional
Infection
MLG
Special Purpose
Aesthetic
Mini-Games
Puzzles
Racing
Switches
XForgery Official Gametypes
The XForgery Official Gametypes isn't available yet, but will be coming soon when we get our First Official Gametype!
Featured Custom Nominations (That's how it's done!)
I'm sure that you are curious by now on how this whole process will work. Well, there is a description of the general process in each weeks nomination thread, that you will find in the Features Forum.
But, I will go through the process with you right here, just to clarify everything.
Post a link and the author of any maps/gametypes that you think would be great for a feature on the site for Feature Friday.
This nomination thread will come out 2 weeks prior to the actual Feature. This is where you will post any maps that you think deserve to be featured here on XForgery.
A week before the Feature, the Nomination Thread will be moved to the Supporter's Lounge and be replaced by a new one that will be for two weeks from that point (the Supporter Lounge is a place that only Supporters have access to... become one Here (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/payments.php)).
At this point, the current Nomination Thread is taken away, for purposes explained below. A new one will pop up, so if you find any more maps that you think deserve a feature, put them into the next week's nominations.
There, all of the Supporters will select the top 5 maps that they think should be featured.
The Supporters, and other Staff, take the nominations and grind it down to a Top 5. These 5 Maps are the possible features for this week.
On the Sunday before the Feature Friday, the 5 maps will be posted along with the Weekly Update for you, the community, to vote. Voting will close on the following Wednesday at 12am EST (that's the midnight between Wednesday and Thursday).
That's right! You get to vote on your favorite maps to get Featured. Make sure to use that privilege, because your vote does count!
The decided winner will be Featured on the Front Page on Friday, along with a short commercial video, created by our affiliate Sour Grunt Productions (http://sourgruntproductions.freeforums.org/). There may be more in store for you, but Null Parameter will cover that in the weekly site updates.
The winner of the vote will get a video created for their map. Then on Friday, it will show up on the Frontpage!
Now, get out there to Nominate (http://xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1346) and Vote (http://xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1375) for your Favorite Maps!
