I doubt people would abuse, and if people do, who cares? It's rep.

Eh, he probably just thought the site would do better without it. If we ask him, I bet we could get him to enable it.
Maybe we could... OHHH... I'm making another thread if my idea works out...

I can enable it myself. I was just wondering more if there was a reason behind it, before I went and reversed it.

i think its because it wouldn't be such a big deal that we don't really need it. So why even have it. The possibility of abuse is still there, and no real good can come out of it.

I can't remember when I disabled it... probably with the new server, because it wasn't setup properly before.
I've tweaked the settings and enabled it. (I did this last night when I found out that it was disabled.)
