Hello and welcome to another Weekly Feature here at XForgery. This week we're showcasing Tic Tac Death. Tic Tac Death is a casual mini game designed for Rally and Rocket Race variants. Like most maps of its kind, Tic Tac Death is designed for one thing, pure unadulterated fun. What Tic Tac Death doesn't share with your average Rocket Race and/or Rally map is... well... everything else about it. Tic Tac Death has no weaving grassy terrain littered with rocks and various other out of place structures, it has no over-complicated game mechanics or wonky gadgets, and it has no excruciatingly thin pathways that you are somehow expected to fit multiple Mongooses through. Tic Tac Death, is essentially, a big square arena that is almost completely flat. So where does the fun come in? ... We'll get to that momentarily.

The name "Tic tac Death" comes from a game that we all know, Tic Tac Toe. (Also referred to as "Xs and Os and Noughts and Crosses in some parts of the world.) Anyone who has ever played Tic Tac Toe knows that it is played in a 3 x 3 grid. This same 3x3 grid pattern is found in the map Tic Tac Death. The lines of the grid are made from holes all throughout the ground, essentially making the lines of the grid 'trenches'. Lining the outside of the trenches are small ramps that can be used to effectively clear the trenches with relative ease. While the trenches can be fallen in to, all of the territory markers in Rocket Race or Rally are outside or over the trenches; so you'll want to try and avoid falling in to the trenches at all costs. However that's not the only challenge you'll have to face when playing on Tic Tac Death, for there are also Kill Balls rolling back and forth throughout the trenches. Unlike most Kill Balls that are incorporated in to a race map of any kind, these Kill Balls are not meant to be an obstacle to slow you down and cause you to lose some distance in a race; these kill balls are much more dangerous, and they will claim your life many times. With so many kill balls rolling throughout the map, all the while you're attempting to jump over the gaps they're rolling through in an attempt to get to a destination point, you're bound to fall victim to the glowing orbs of death many times. The risk is increased when you factor in that there will be many other players bumping and crashing in to you in Rally, and blasting you around in Rocket Race.

Overall Tic Tac Death is yet another classic Halo Reach Mini-Game. It's a simple, easy to pick up concept, yet extremely fun and will have you laughing, and screaming in terror all throughout the game. There's nothing quite like the feeling or narrowly avoiding a massive fireball flying at you while leaping through a destination point to take the lead, the thrill of blasting an enemy team across the map right in to an on coming Kill Ball, and the feelings of anguish and distress that wash over you when you find yourself trapped in one of the merciless trenches awaiting certain death. Tic Tac Death is certainly one of the best Halo Reach creations I've seen in a long while. Be sure to give it a download, and enjoy the pictures!

This is very well deserved. Great Job 2 Armed guy! This was a blast in my rally tournaments and it is fun with any amount of people. The thing about forging is that, it does not matter how complex the idea is. All that matters is how fun it is!

And this is really fun!

Very spectacular map, it really shows some of the potential that Rally has as a gametype.
