ohai

As of now, there are several different categories for maps. Through the other options for a map format, there isn't something that I feel should be added.

Technical/Idea maps. What do I mean by this?

Technical maps are easy to identify. These maps have technical structures that have a purpose for a map. However this map is not a playable map. The main idea is showing switches. They would show what it looks like, how it works, and why you would use it. On many other forging-based websites, they have a place for these.

Idea maps are just what they sound like. If you have an idea that cannot be expressed with a description, pictures, or video this is where you show that idea.

I think that these should act as one category. How this category would be placed in our current or future forum structure is still a question. I would leave that up to Null and Thomas.

Thank you for your time.

I actually had this one switch idea once. There is an "X" kind of shape with a square around it. Whenever you hit the switch, it made a "Z" or an "S" kind of shape. It was really well-thought out and forged to it's best but it only worked in asymmetrical. I trashed the map and never thought about it until now. You can use it if you want...

:)

Anyways, I think the prefix could help but it's not overly needed. You don't see to many switches on core forging sites. They're take more intelligence to work out and core forgers tend to keep things simple. Some people hate switches, one more reason for the prefix though.

Crazy idea lol.

Prefix? Maybe. If they have subcategories such as Infection, I think it would work well.
