OverviewHello and welcome to another Weekly Feature here at XForgery. This week we're showcasing "Night In a Diner". Night in A Diner is an infection game set in a well designed diner. The inside of the diner is beautiful and features a great layout for the zombies and the humans. The open area provides enough room for the zombies to move and enough places to the humans to hold out. The diner idea is great because the tables provide great cover and the multiple entrances and exits make the action fast paced and exciting.
The entire diner is inside of a safe haven. The safe haven has normal Reach settings while outside of the haven makes the human traits so the humans move slowly and can't deal damage. This prevents the humans from escaping the diner and camping, and allows the the zombies spawn to be safe. One of the coolest mechanics of the map is how it uses time. As the game goes on, it slowly becomes harder for the zombies to attack the diner. The windows, which start completely open, start barricading themselves until they're only four or five entrances.
Overall the map is really beautiful and well thought out. The outside of the map has landmarks useful for attacking zombies while the inside is a nice looking diner which is the site of some awesome battles. The weapons spawns are fun and not to campy while the map slowly makes it easier for the humans to defend when they start losing their power weapons. This is one infection that feels well paced and is really enjoyable for both sides. Enjoy the pictures!
