The M274 Ultra-Light All-Terrain Vehicle. For most of us, we call it the mongoose. When it arrived in Halo 3, none of us expected the mongoose to succeed (after all, it got cut in Halo 2). Instead this little ATV has seen success not only in the battlefield, but in custom games where it takes center stage. It's foundation started in Foundry, and now race is a full fledged gametype in Halo: Reach, all thanks to the mongoose and some imagination by the community. It seems pretty fitting that the first screenshot contest of 2011 will focus on a vehicle that continues to bring some epic and hilarious moments time and time again.
What are the limitations to this screenshot contest?
Your screenshot must have a mongoose in it, period. You can be riding it, blowing them up, or stack them on top of each other for mongoose on mongoose action. Don't take a random matchmaking picture in which the mongoose is on the other side of the map and we can barely see it. The centerpiece has to be the mongoose.
When does the contest start and end?
Submissions start right........now, and end on Wednesday, January 12th @ 11:59 PM CST. The voting thread will be up a few days after the 12th. This should give you enough time to pimp your mongoose and drive it off a cliff.
Submission Rules
The screenshot must be taken by you. Depending on the theme, you are allowed to have people help and/or be in the shot, as long as the screenshot is taken by you. (Please read on for methods of showing proof)
Post your screenshot in this thread. You are allowed to change your submission anytime during the submission period.
You can only have one submission, and it must be taken during this contest. (1/1 - 1/12)
Along with your submission, please include:
The title of the screenshot.
a link to your Halo: Reach file share, recent screenshots, or screenshot gallery page on Bungie.net (http://www.bungie.net/default.aspx).
The screenshot does not need to be posted in the Halo: Reach Gallery forum, but you must embed it into this thread when submitting it. To find out how to correctly obtain and embed screenshots, please refer to this thread (http://www.xforgery.com/forum/showthread.php?t=561).
