Review Team Information:
What we do and How to join...

Since the forums have had a large increase in members recently, the review team has been overloaded with work. As a result of this, the review team is now accepting member applications for the time being.

But before we get into how to join the review team, let's go over what we do and our responsibilities.

Basically being on the Review Team allows you access to an addition section of the forum. In this section there is a master list of unreviewed maps. Each week members are encouraged to preselect maps from the list, download and play them, then report back.

What we are looking for these six criteria: Creativity, Aesthetics, Gameplay, Spawns, Overall, and any last Comments. All of these categories are on a 10 point scale, and no decimal values are permitted.

Creativity: Creativity basically how original the idea is to the community. Does it have innovative ideas or is it different than other maps?

Aesthetics: Aesthetics, obviously is how well a map looks. If a map is bumpy, it's recommended you take points off here. However, there are a large number of cases where this does not apply due to functionality requirements.

Gameplay: How well does the map play? Can you find a weapons easily, or worth playing again? Also escapablity does come into play in this catatgory. If you can get outside of any map, points will be taken away.

Spawns: Spawns can be seen as more of a sub-category of gameplay, after giving the map a run through, check to see if you are spawning facing a wall, or spawning right next to the enemy. These are just a few examples of things that should be adressed when judging this catagory.

Overall: This field is calculated as an average of the rest of the fields, when you're submitting a review this field is omitted and cannot be changed directly.

Comments: This is the final area of your review. You will now put all your thoughts of your review into here, but it must be under the 250 character limit.

At this point, if you have anything else you would like to get across, you are allowed to add an addition comments section (include this in your review) which will be posted in the map thread.

Once everything has been completed post it back in the ''Review Team'' forum. Once it has been aproved it will be added to the forums. Like this:

There is of course a little bit more to the review team including attending review night once a month. But once you gain membership there is a post explaining things in more detail.

Still interested?

Please take the time to fill out this application and Private Message it to Denominator (http://xforgery.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=25) and he will get back to you within a few days.*
