My goal with Legacy was to create a track that takes advantage of Forge World's natural terrain. I've always enjoyed vehicle rushes across the wide open spaces full of hills and burrs... with this in mind, Legacy has several open stretches where the drivers can spread out a little and find their own routes across the hills. I've kept these sections short so that the race stays focused. There are also several narrow passageways that funnel the drivers.... over all, I think there is a good balance of both, but I'd love feedback.

I'm also particularly curious about how people like the Grav Lift at the end of the canyon stretch. Some people seem to love it, others not so much.

Of course, I need to know if anyone finds any technical issues (spawning) so I can fix them.

This is my first ever Forge creation, so I don't expect it to be perfect :) Still, it seems to play quite well so far... I look forward to hearing everyone's impressions and feedback!

Quick Description of the Map:
Very simple, designed for good gameplay, not good looks. It does have a stunning view of the waterfall in Forge World though, the blue base is floating in the air right next to it. The map is nestled into the big cavern/waterfall area above the water.

So, I am hoping this test process goes pretty quick so I can make changes, re-submit it to you guys, and have it tested again so I can have the final films to submit to Bungie.

Yes, you can resubmit it. We're working on getting more hosts to cover all of the maps and get them done quicker.

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the X Forgery Team for putting all this together. The feedback I received was very helpful. :thumbup:

I doubt the test teams will have time to take a look at a revised version of my map, but I thought I'd post it here just in case.

Map Name - Legacy Racetrack (Version 2.2) (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=9950999&player=CruelLEGACEY) - UPDATED SINCE XFORGERY TEST SESSION! - Fixed the broken spawns, smoothed out a few corners, added more checkpoints, tweaked the grav. lift for better accuracy and consistancy.

Map Summary: Red and blue bases located on the east and west of a center "satellite dish" structure. A tower exists on the north end of the satellite dish, while a peninsula bridge exists on the south end of the dish. Each base has access to a Falcon helipad that is connected to the other team's Falcon helipad via a bridge that goes around the peninsula bridge.

Weapons:
- 2x shotgun - 1 in the "basement" of each base
- 1x hammer - located in the lower level of the satellite dish structure
- 1x grenade launcher - located in the tower
- 1x rocket launcher - located on the peninsula bridge
- 1x sniper rifle - located on the helipad bridge
- 2x magnum - 1 in the sniper nest of each base
- 1x needler - 1 at the open side (south) on the lower level of the satellite dish structure
- 3x plasma pistol - 1 located at the top of the satellite dish, 1 located at the 'front bridge' of each base

You'll get a message here on XF with your feedback. We're getting through a lot of maps pretty quickly, but they keep coming in as well. We're going to try our damndest to get through them all, and we're continually adding more hosts and testing times to do so.

also just look at the order of the posts. I have started moving out completed maps. We are trying to stick close to the order that they were posted. However that is not entirely possible because some maps need 8 people, some need 12, and some need 16.

So the closer your post gets to post #1 the closer it is to being reviewed
