Nevermind I am doing another idea. Just use my idea if you want it.

OK, I am making a Juggernaut gametype for the February Forgeoff, k? Buuuutttttt, there is a problem with the spawns. So what I need help with is this:

How do I set it so that the Juggernaut spawns in one area and the rest of the players spawn somewhere else, if with no starting points? Is this possible, or do I have to change it to a VIP game (Juggernaut has goals to go to for points, no killing and stuff, and the rest of the players try to kill him).

I think it will have to be VIP.

Moved to Halo 3 discussion.

From the limited information that you gave us, it sounds like VIP would be your best bet.

Alright, thank you very much. I am doing that now. If I have any other questions Iwill ask you.

Or you could spawn everyone in one room and have the juggernaut have more health than anyone else... then drop fusion coils killing everyone except the juggernaut. Everyone spawns on Starting Points at first and then the people that die spawn at regular spawn points...

If you are trying to "pass" on juggernaut at all then you are good to go... if you want the person to stay the same it is highly suggested that you do VIP... the problem is that if you do one sided VIP, the VIP team is selected randomly. You could do the same as the above, have one "team" be stronger and everyone spawn in the same area then kill everyone except the VIP team...

Another way that might work would be to use gravity traits so that the juggernaut/VIP can access something the other can't... why isn't this in gametypes? We should have all gametype discussion in the gametype area and any actual "published" gametypes have a gametype prefix...

Sorry.

I am doing VIP, with one person (VIP initiative) on his own team by himself, and everyone else that has to kill him on the same team, so its a team effort.

I s that original enough and good for getting a vote?

Fat kid? Did I explain good?

There is a VIP. He is by himself. He spawns by a warthog, and since he can barely move, and barely jump (lol like fat kid) he needs to use it to rush around to spots on the map (Sandtrap). The other team, non-VIP team, spawns in a bunker, and the top moves to let them out after 10 seconds to give the VIP a small headstart. The team then has to kill the VIP (getting either 8 or 10 points by doing so) and the VIP has to rush to spots, getting 2 points each time, but I am changing it to 5.

How's that?

I don't think there are starting spawn points in that gametype . . .

All Gametypes have Starting Points.

But as somebody else stated, I don't know if you can control which team the VIP is on, so what happens if the VIP spawns on the team with 15 people instead of the team of 1? You should really test this fact out.

Ops, I forgot it was just that there was no starting spawn for the juggernaut.

Yeah, there are no starting points for juggernauts. I am testing that, Null, but i need more people. So far, by myself, on the red team, i spawn at the VIP point (with the hog). As blue, I do the same thing, but I am supposed to spawn in the bunker.

They need to have that, for every gametype.

You just gave me a very good idea for a gametype... But regarding your VIP spawns... There is no way to select where the VIP spawns, so you would need some sort of switch to weed him out to begin with. Also, like AZN had already mentioned, one sided VIP games with one round(intending to have a different number of people on each team) aren't possible due to the fact that the VIP team is random regardless of color.

The game of Halo has no way to designate spawn points for players of certain importance soo, your on your own there. If you find a way, please tell, it will help greatly for ALOT of maps.

That sounds a lot better. However, it sounds like escort VIP... but not team-based unless you're against the VIP.

It doesn't sound like it will be any more fun than the old school infection on sandtrap...

Maybe you can put a different game type instead? I don't know what kind though seeing as the gametypes with points are VIP and Juggernaut

I do this in operative and if you looks at sotha sil's 'blind' map with the VIP gametype it has a similar switch.

But he wants a juggernaut to spawn below. Wow! I just thoutgh of a great idea now becuase of this! Has to do with a ranodm VIP on the bottom and VIP's up in boxes shooting him with a sniper.
