Ohai thar. I noticed that none of the staff around here, besides Admins, have a custom rank. There rank is just the post amount rank, which I think is rather bland.

So I present to you a few ranks I made for staff:

Looks good but you should try using higher resolution images. The marathon logo looks overly pixelated.

Wow, those are pretty cool. Though, if they used em, you should add a banner at the bottom saying the rank, like admin or moderator

I got it from the rank that admins have now, And I only recoloured it a bit. Any pixilation was there to start with XD

I had text on the first two, and for some reason it messed up.

But the text problem is legit. Since the Image has empty space all around it floating text looks like crap, and a box at the bottom also would look like crap. If it was a solid box I could add text in and it would look fine, but once again I based it off the image admins already had. I didn't want to make a new image, because there would be less chance it would be used.

Yeah, I'm liking them. Will bring more attention to the Staff. Like it was said before, a bit pixelated, and while it may have been there before, it wasn't apparent.

Not to nitpick, but it would also be nice if you added a bit of a shadow around the inner edges of the marathon logo. This can easily be done in photoshop.

I could do that on Photoshop, I like PS better, but for now I has GIMP.

I'll see what I can do, but the image is so simple I bet the shadow looks bad.

Gathering from what Null said, I don't think updating the image resolution would be a problem. This will make it look a little more solid. Not to mention the original has a bit of a reflection.

Yeah theres a shadow button if you haven't added it already...

I don't remember where it is, i think maybe under render. If you just right click the layer and choose "select alpha (i think)" and make a new layer and paste some black it should do the job (of course your going to have to do some stuff with the black so it doesn't look like a solid shadow).

And make sure you save and upload as a PNG. Much higher quality.

yarly. There's a lot of changes happening just within this week itself. We're pulling together and making a long list of things that need to get done, so stuff should happen faster. :thumbup:

The shadow images are almost perfect except that the marathon emblem is still really pixelated. Is there anyway to fix this?

too much custimization for a user gives no seperation of the staff... we need some sort of designation or else there is no incentve.. but yeah post when you have new rank images RST...

Get a high resolution version (http://halo.necedemalis.net/EmblemMarathon.png)?

That should fix the pixelation issue.
